“We had such a peaceful and comfortable stay at Sweet Gum! I highly recommend this site. Close to everything for a full day of adventure, but you feel like your tucked away from all of it when you return to from your day.”
“Beautiful wooded location, the farm was everything I hoped for. Dogs, cats, cows, donkeys, horses, goats- all were welcoming. The tent was clean and mattress very comfortable. Plenty of privacy. Will definitely be coming back to stay again!”
“Pros: The host and their private land and animals are great. They were super helpful and friendly. Their animals they have rescued were all wonderful. I loved all of their roaming dogs. The land was nice as well.
Cons: The campsite however was underwhelming. Of course I knew I was getting a campsite, but the pictures show a much cleaner and put together campsite. The tent had mold and moss growing on it, the bed had not been wiped off of nature debris, the deck floors had not be swept off, the grill was turned over, there was no tent over the toilet, there was not a shower, and there was no propane for the heater. If these small things had been taken care of I feel I could have given a higher rating.”
“The site was super cute, tucked backin the woods, you can’thear anything besides nature! Our host, Steve, was so nice. He let us get up and go feed the goats with our daughter, and say hi to the various animals. 10 out of 10 will definitely be back! Just remember to bring your own queen size sheets and pillows!”
“Wonderful weekend stay on the farm! Loved seeing the horses, donkeys, cows, goats and well behaved dogs! I would only recommend bringing lanterns or flashlights for the nighttime, and a cooling source for hotter nights. Finding the spot was easy, and it was a very enjoyable stay in proximity to Salisbury University and Assateague Island”
