“Lucy met us at the office, guided us to our site, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt heard, safe and comfortable, Lucy is amazing! The ice house across the road is not nearly open as often as they say; we had to venture into town more times than we’d have liked just to get ice. We endured a wicked thunderstorm during our stay and Lucy was there to check in on us periodically to make sure we felt safe. The stargazing was spectacular! Getting back in touch with nature is just the thing you’ll be doing during your stay. The tent is an open floor plan, so prepare to expect hoards of bugs to bombard your site at night. It gets hot without a cross breeze, although they do provide a box fan. The bathrooms were clean and easy to access. The site owner (I believe, Tammy) was nice enough but the interaction was bitter after she spoke about Lucy‘s rank and ability to have helped us during the storm. On another note, please bring bear spray as you’ll be in bear country.”
“It was a rocky start gettin into this amazing place!! But once the ball got rolling and we got in touch with Tammy it smoothed out beautifully. Tammy was super helpful and accommodating. We absolutely will be back for a longer stay next time!!!”
“If you are a family looking for a nice campground experience, this is perfect. This is a nice campground, busy, but nice. The tent is great and so is the bathroom. The description makes it seem like there is hiking and like it's secluded. It is not, and there isn't. If you're looking for kayaking, then this is perfect as well. Just don't expect peace and quiet. Lots of barking dogs and the people across from us were watching a movie on projector very loudly until 11 pm.”
Hey there Elianna, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. He is aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned.
