It was very steep down the hill from the parking lot...it was way more work than I anticipated, bringing my camping gear up and down the hill. That should be mentioned because it was sooooo much work!!! My Tentrr host was very friendly and wonderful.

My daughter and I had a great time camping here, and I love that there were Adirondack chairs, a metal garbage can, a pantry area to set food, picnic table, fire pit, and a real and comfy queen size bed there for us. I didn't catch this from the description, but be aware you do have to wagon all your stuff in on a two-minute walk per wagon ride down some hills on a narrow path in the forest! The wagon is provided. I'm not sure that outweighed the convenience of having the tent already up for us! Also the map made it look like the site was right on the lake, but you can't get to it from right behind the campsite - it's quite forested. Altogether it was beautiful, well maintained, and a lovely spot to camp! We met the woman taking care of the campsites and she was wonderful and helpful as well.

The tent sites are convenient - easy walk-in/out and very private! Easy access to the lake and excellent MTB trails. We also took advantage of the nearby Proud Lake amenities. Lisa was an excellent host - great communication and instructions.

The hiking trails were amazing and the concierge was very helpful. The only thing we missed was that any maps available didn’t show the trails where we were located. Loved our stay!

I enjoyed camping there but for $100 a night the tent was very very dirty on the inside. You could see a literal boot print on the fabric of the ceiling and the sides were very dirty. I understand it's camping but it looked nothing like the pictures in terms of cleanliness.

Hey there Paige, Thank you for your feedback! With honest reviews like yours, Tentrr can continue to improve the camping experience for everyone who wants to experience the outdoors. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at Highland State Park. Since your review, we have talked with the camp host about the tent's conditions and they have taken the appropriate action to clean the tent's walls. Again, we sincerely apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope you give Tentrr another chance in the future! Cheers, The Tentrr Team
