“Perfect for a weekend getaway. It might be tucked away, but there are some hidden gems around the corner. The river is a wonderful touch and the waterfall was the perfect sound. The tent is indeed waterproof (we went through a massive thunder storm and everything stayed dry). Loved it here, will visit again!!”
“Great stay in there woods. The golf cart was a nice touch to transport your things to the campsite. We walked with a wagon to go the rest of the way to the tent based on another review and it was very helpful. Paul was very quick with responding to our texts. We stargazed, Enjoyed time by the fire, & went hiking. We even had cell service. It rained pretty heavy one night and the electricity went out but Paul came by to take care of it in the morning. It was a nice stay in the woods.”
“Very unique and fun setup at Locust Grove. The golf cart they lend you when parking to transport your stuff is super thoughtful, fun, and functional. It’s available 100% to you. The tent and location was safe, clean, and comfortable. They provided a protected loo for the bathroom, grill, table, firewood and pit and other helpful accessories. The stream is nice scenery whether it’s fully flowing or not.”
“We had an amazing time despite the drought. The setup was exactly as pictured plus some. Very private and just so peaceful. There was a golf cart where we parked which made it easier to haul our things. But you’ll want a rugged wagon to carry your things the rest of the way.
We hiked at the Huyck Preserve to make up for the lack of water at the camp site. We’re hoping to revisit and take advantage of having our own waterfall and swimming hole. There was large chunks of wood precut on site we used for a nice camp fire. No site of bears just the occasional white tail deer in the distance. This may be our annual getaway! We highly recommend it there. Cheers to our host.”
“Amazing place! So unique and a perfect escape from this crazy world. Tent is amazing and we had no problems with bugs. Very comfortable bed and electric fan kept the air moving, so we didn't get too hot. Definitely visit the EN Huyck Preserve. It was a perfect hike and gorgeous falls. We also met a sweet tuxedo cat that was roaming around the property. She followed us around and was our little camping buddy. She was just the cherry on top of our lovely little getaway. The owner was also very communicative and kind. My only complaint was the low water level in the creek. It just had not rained in a month and it was very dried up. Just keep in mind rainy and dry seasons for scheduling your trip. Overall was amazing!!! 10/10 recommend.”
