“Wow. It was so beautiful here. For some reason I was under the impression it was at a campground- very likely my own fault. So after the first little bit of fright and being very thankful we hadn't rented some fancy car for the week, we were in literal heaven. It is so pretty. You have the moose river all to yourself and the cutest little glamping site. With by far the best outhouse I have ever used. I did try to send an email to the 'host email' a few days before to try to book the site for a second night and never got a response. Take bug spray and the good times come naturally.”
“John the host was flexible and responsive to our changing travel plans. We were driving back from Toronto to Boston and this was a perfect halfway stop.
The site is well-equipped, and ready for our late rainy arrival with dry firewood, multiple full coolers of drinking water, a separate and stocked kitchen tent, flashlights and lanterns, and a extremely comfortable bed.
You might be initially skeptical as you drive under the power lines to get to the site--but the path was well-maintained and easily navigated by my low-profile hatchback. You then park at the top and walk down a short slope to the site. We arrived just in time for a gorgeous full moon rise over the rushing rapids. Never slept better in my life!
In the morning, per the helpful handwritten notes, we went for a short and pretty hike on the other side of the river (drive the 2mi or so around) to a swimming area at the base of the falls.
Would love to be back!”
“A hidden gem!!!! Beautiful site so close to the water , So many amentieies it made things so peaceful and lovely. Great site if you have pups too and soaking in the river was heavenly !!!”
“One of the best campsite locations I've ever had. Right on the Moose River that acts as its own lullaby every night. I went in peak Fall foliage time and the entire area was stunning. Right at the base of the Adirondack mountains. John was a pleasure to deal with and he made my stay easy and comfortable. The site had lots of what seemed like brand new Coleman camping gear which was a lot of fun to play with. As well as a Coleman grill and a Blackstone grill not to mention 2 fire pits! Just a 5 star stay all the way around.”
“I want to start off and say we had a wonderful time, would consider going back, and the views are absolutely beautiful!
This location is owned by Tentrr, and managed by a local person, which seems to have led to some miscommunication. I wasn't provided any check in instructions or a manual for how to use anything, and didn't hear from the person overseeing this property until the next day.
This is off of a beaten path, and instructions for how to find the property are really important to share with guests! We arrived in the evening and thankfully found the location after a few wrong turns and to be honest, some panic.
I would recommend this site for experienced campers only. Familiarity with setting up propane tanks is a must.”
