“This is our third Tentrr site and Harvest Moon, Adirondack was the best we've been to yet! Cassandra and Kevin were the BEST hosts! They were available to get us set up when we arrived and everytime we bumped into them on our way out for an excursion, we ended up talking for at least an hour with them. They are very inviting, friendly, and eager to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
The site is a bit different from the others that we've stayed at in that it is not a drive up site. You park near their camp supply store and then it's a nice walk through the quiet woods to the sites. There's three sites on the property and enough space between them that you never see another person.
Our site was outfitted with just about everything you could need for several days. Food and drink is about all you really need to bring. We did bring a stove to cook on, but you could also cook over the open campfire which has a grill attached. The thoughtful decorative touches in the tent were much appreciated also. The site had the standard Tentrr furnishings and outhouse and the also supplied water, a hand washing station, queen bed with linens, towels, solar shower, utensils and much more. The outhouses were in the process of being upgraded from the folding privacy tents to more sturdy and spacious wooden outhouses.
A unique touch at Harvest Moon was the onsite sauna. Kevin would get the wood stove burning whenever requested. The sauna is big enough for two and was a nice way to relax before getting dinner going and settling in for the night.
Cassandra and Kevin were very helpful and eager to provide anything we needed. Water, warm solar shower, firewood, etc. They had a Ranger 4x4 which they used to transport our gear to and from the site when we arrived and were ready to leave.
Harvest Moon is close to the Finger Lakes so there's plenty of water, restaurants, wineries, waterfalls and breweries. Be sure to hit the General Store in Smithville Flats for the best sandwiches around. Also French's Distillery in Lisle is bourbon is your thing.
We'll certainly make a point of going back for another long weekend which is a statement in itself as we try to avoid staying at the same location twice.”
“This place was amazing! Very secluded in the middle of the woods. Setup was very cozy and nicely laid out - they had everything you needed! Basic cooking supplies and utensils and a lot of cute extra touches. Owners were extremely nice and hospitable, they do everything they can to make the stay as comfortable as possible - you can tell they love doing this for guests! Our dogs LOVED this spot also. Can’t recommend this spot enough!”
“The tent and living situation were incredible, the forest was beautiful, and the cold nights were not that cold with the wood stove. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive. Can’t go wrong by yourself or with a party, just be sure to pack boots and a towel for that amazing sauna :)”
“The campsite was perfectly nestled off the beaten path for a nice secluded stay. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make the campsite feel cozy and welcoming. I loved all the attention to detail from little tea light candles to fresh flowers on the table. The site is also externally dog friendly my chocolate lab had a blast exploring the woods all around. Will definitely be going back in the near future.”
