Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“We had an amazing time at this campsite. It was our first time camping as a family (two adults, a 7 year old and a 4 year old), and in these COVID times, it was our alternative to a birthday party to celebrate my son turning 8. The kids loved roaming the property, collecting sticks and making up games. Matt was incredibly communicative, and the site had everything we needed. It's a 10 minute drive to town, so a quick trip to Walmart got us some wax logs and a few grocery essentials, but we still felt like we were away from it all. The queen bunk bed was comfortable for the four of us and definitely beat sleeping on the ground. Getting a fire going and having hot dogs and s'mores was all you could want. Great stars at night, too. We'd love to come back!”
“The campsite was beautiful and secluded. We loved the fire pit and cooking outside. A few improvements could be made to the site to make it a 5. The grill is broken but we could balance it to cook. The bottom bunk air mattress may have a small hole in it. It kept deflating. The tent was a little mildew-y and would benefit from a cleaning. Overall the property was stunning and wood for kindling was easy to find. For groups of 4 bring 2 extra chairs as only 2 were provided.”
“The site was great. I loved the historic wall that surrounded us, and the woods were beautiful. Communication with the site manager was fast and clear. There was some toilet paper, trash bags, utensils, and some solar powered lanterns in the cabinet by the table. Super useful and thoughtful!
We had a really hard time with the wood burning stove inside the tent. It was suggested that we use wax logs. This was a great suggestion but, the chimney was not cleared out. So the ashes and smoke kept chocking out the fire and it was nothing but smoke that filled the entire tent. We needed to air it out for hours before we could go to sleep. Finally we cleared out the ashes and it worked great afterwards but I was really concerned about the about of smoke inhalation that might have happened in our sleep.”
“My stay at camp monticello was awesome .. very quiet secluded area which is good for friends or family.. beautiful site surrounded by rock walls then a open area and trails.. matt was very helpful and on call when or if needed with information on the area”
“We had a great trip. It was quiet and peaceful and not too many bugs! This was our kids' first time camping and this made a good first impression - they are ready for more. Matt was helpful answering my questions and suggesting places in the area to visit. We went for a hike to Mullet Falls. This was our first Tentrr experience and I would say that the site provides more of a camping vs. glamping experience - if that matters to you. Would do it again. Overall, great easy getaway from the city. Thanks, Matt!”
“Beautiful spot! We only stayed one night and sadly it was when the tropical storm started but the camp setup was perfect and peaceful. Highly recommend.”
