the good: tent was great very well built held up and stayed dry through a strong storm, the park is amazing, bed was nice definitely better than a cot or camping pad. the bad: fire pit was completely busted in.more ways then one.. there was garbage left behind on the floor and in "the loo" with no bag which states to replace bag or pay 50$ cleaning fee... it appears nobody is checking on these sites in between reservations... also was missing fire extinguisher which was advertised.

I want a refund to equal what would have been equal to the RV site, they had better amenities than this shoddy set up. 1) the poor service, very slow response 2) the lack of same services at 3 camp locations that were all in the same area and booked. Some had water containers, some didn’t. Some had a heater, some had a heater but no propane, others had no heater at all! Same with trash cans, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide alarm. 3) water everywhere! Com complete marsh everywhere, full of mosquitos. Miserable location 4) NO solar shower; was told to go to the RV site because people steal them. When told we wanted the solar shower, they bought us what was equivalent to a large ziploc bag and told us to hook it to a tree. They told us ‘it could be a while, we have to go get one from another park’. And, all the trees were in the marshy mud mosquito water, and there wasn’t even a tree to hang it on that was convenient, didn’t even provide a hook. 5) no grill, so you had to cook on the very disgusting still dirty and very broken fire pit. My camp mates fire pit bottom fell completely out when we went to dump it from all the prior ashes, it was disgusting. 6) far away from everyone and everything. Worst was that there were huts that were like picnic areas (through the mud) and people would just drive up and walk out to them. 7) the amount of cars turning into the site was out of control, at all hours. In the middle of the night. So it was hard to sleep because we felt unsafe. No sign to indicate that it wasn’t a public area and only guests. And people would just park and sit there, which was very uncomfortable. 8) they indicated that no trash was to be left, but they didn’t provide trash bags. We brought our own, but we opened a trash can and it was 1/2 full of other peoples stuff, including food. Gross. 9) no cover even provided for the toilet, and I’m not going to go to the bathroom in the tent. How uncomfortable. Absolutely will not use this poorly run service or this company again, and really should be refunded because it was false advertising. We didn’t even stay the second night, it was that bad. Should have booked At the RV site, where each site has running water, electricity, a grill AND a fire pit, a running toilet, AND a real shower.

This was my first Tentrr experience and enjoyed my one night. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and it was convenient to have the toilet. I loved the croaking frogs all night. I thought for the price (about as much as a hotel), it should have been cleaner and included all of the amenities that are advertised; the floors were very dirty and full of debris, and there was no interior light or sun shower. I didn't need the sun shower on this visit so not a problem, but I really needed the light. The location was OK, not the prettiest spot with three large, ugly cement structures dominating the area.

Would absolutely go again, easy to stay independent. Tentrr explained everything we would need to bring with us so we had everything we needed when we showed up. The giant cooler of water was a nice touch. My dog probably enjoyed it the most.

Fountainbleau State Park is very convenient to the Tammany trail and Tentrr makes is comfortable and easy to camp. The tents are great in the rain and the sites are secluded. The in tent Cleanwater toilet is excellent. The sites are a little damp so bring insect repellent. We would do it again when it’s cool. Tentrr is a great idea!

Glamping in the Mardi Gras Freeze We had booked site A for Feb. 14 for 2 nights. We rec’d an email from Campkeeper Patrick on Friday evening that Site A, on the East side of the park, was flooded. We were able to get Patrick to move us to Site D, on the West side of the park. Patrick met us shortly after arrival to answer any questions we had. After the rain, the temp was in the mid-20s Monday night. We were quite toasty in the tent with the propane heater provided by Tentrr and a propane heater we brought. The accommodations were great and Patrick was extremely helpful. Looking forward to our next Tentrr stay on the beach at Easter.
