Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Love the secluded spot, but be prepared—it’s a little difficult to access. The Tentrr description does mention this, it’s just that the directions provided are NOT easy to follow. They seemed pretty straightforward, but once we were in the park, we realized how confusing they were. Like—you have to actually LEAVE the park via the main entrance, get back on the highway, and turn down an entirely different (unmarked) road to get to the Tentrr camping area. That was NOT mentioned anywhere in the instructions. My recommendation would be to find the site first and THEN go back to collect and wheel in your supplies. Also, there’s a trick to opening the combination lock to the entrance/exit that isn’t provided in the instructions. We had to contact our camp guide multiple times via phone and text both to access our site and to exit the camp area. Otherwise—it was an absolutely AMAZING experience. I’ve already booked our next stay.”
“Inside tent zipper (for the screen) was broken so my choice was to keep the tent sealed and not let it air out OR air it out but allow bugs in.
Otherwise, really loved the setting, solitude, and peace. Appreciated the water jug being full (it was not at my prior Tentrr site).”
“This site was fantastic! Secluded with minimal road noise. Great to wake up to each morning. The heater was a great bonus too!! Will definitely be back.”
“we will camp with tentrr again! However, our camp keeper did not put the chairs and benches where they go before our check in and our fire pit was busted. the top of the fire pit was rusted and crumpled near the pond. we're hoping to have a different camp keeper next time. also we didn't know to bring a wagon until we were on our way to the site. we had no clue we'd be parked 900ft from our car these are details I suggest letting your campers know! and finally, the photos did not match what we got i'd also suggest to update accurate up to dat photos”
“Patrick, the campkeeper, was very responsive, and the site was neat and tidy when we got in. This site is the furthest down the trail around the pond, so you have to most privacy, but also the longest trek to and from the campsite. Tentrr provided gorilla carts to carry our stuff, which worked much better on the trail than I expected, even when it got pretty muddy. The bed was comfortable, the view was very peaceful, and the tent did a great job keeping out the rain and bugs. If you come in the summer, don't forget to bring a boatload of bugspray and watch out for golden silk orb weavers if you've got arachnophobia (not dangerous at all, just large and prevalent along the trails). These sites tend to be a bit sweatier than those on the lake shore since there is less wind and the tree cover holds in the humidity, but you can spend the hot hours by the lake. The step up onto the platform is a bit high on this particular site, which could be a but challenging for folks with knee problems but worked out fine for us. Lots of fun! But I wasn't kidding about the bugspray - good lord, the mosquitoes”
“It was a beautiful site, secluded and quiet. We could barely hear the 190 traffic, but enjoyed many frog and bird sounds. The Louisiana Irises were in full glory around the pond. The thirty-minute hike to Cane Bayou was nice. We've camped in the regular campsites at Fontainebleau, and this was so much more our style - away from everything. We saw many turtles and even an alligator (about 5-feet long). If you bring a pet or small children, you need to be on the lookout. Our dog enjoyed drinking from the pond, but we tried to keep her away. The tent held strong in a severe thunderstorm with no leaks. If you get this site, try to minimize what you bring in because it's the farthest away and most secluded - at least a ten minute walk from the parking area. There's a wagon to haul your stuff, but it had flat tires and was a bit difficult to traverse the muddy trail. The camp keeper promptly answered our texts and calls when we hade a few questions (couldn't open the gate lock and couldn't find the solar shower bag). We'd love to try other spots, but this one was a good first try.”
