Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“We had a wonderful time at this campsite. The host, Paula, was super friendly and helped us figure out the best place to set up camp. We followed the river trail all the way down and set up camp at the end where there was a good sized fire pit. We hiked at a nearby trail, the Red Hill Fire Tower trail, which was a moderate, pretty steep hike, about 5 miles total. At the top, a guide took us to the top of the fire tower where we had 360 views of the mountains. The guide was a bit chatty but it was nice to learn the names of the mountains, etc. If you do this trail, make sure you stop off at the spring (there will be a sign) so you can take a drink from the ice cold, beautifully clean spring. We also followed the instructions from Paula's guide to go to the "famous swimming/fishing hole" and it did NOT disappoint. There wasn't much as far as fish go, but it was an amazingly refreshing dip after a hot sweaty hike! Overall we had a great time in this area and can't wait to do it again.”
“My friends and I had a great weekend camping on the property. The information sent to me by the owners beforehand was very helpful. We camped, hiked, and took a ton of pictures. The area is very private, and we're glad we picked this site for our first camping trip of the fall.”
“amazing hosts greeted us and let us do our thing. such a beautiful place, the nature is unlike most and our ability to wander and hike on miles and miles of trails made this experience just unreal.”
“this property is quite beautiful and a must visit. the river was wonderful, refreshing and just so perfect. lots of hiking options for young and old and so I recommend this place for its amazing beauty and great hosts. just know that it is a no frills camping experience. do not expect glamping, just the beauty of nature and perfect trails and sites”
“A huge thank you to our amazing hosts for allowing us to stay on their property, it was so special! The river was beautiful and cold, the old stone remnants of walls and other structures throughout the property were unique and lovely. Quite secluded, but you can still sometimes hear a car or two on the road; most of the time, all you hear is the river! Would love to come back to explore even further!”
“While the trails were pretty, it was confusing how to access the river. We tried hiking down in a couple of spots and it was VERY steep and we couldn’t see how to get to the river without crossing the road. There was a spot at the bottom of the driveway we saw but it was exposed to the road and surrounded by electrical poles. Part of the draw towards paying for this site was private water access but instead drove to the public spot, although it was beautiful, a bit misleading. A map of The trails would have been great showing the way to the river they own. the host referenced a manual but the only one received was the generic Tentrr manual which didn’t apply to this property because it was primitive. Additionally, they only allow fires in a certain area as noted, (far from Some of the trails and visible to their home) or let us use another fire pit, but we had to carry that the .25mi to our site and carry it back to the house (which we forgot to do). Uphill trails are very steep and truly only meant for backpacking. Several other campers on the property and we all had parked in the same area, which didn’t feel as private (part of what you want with Tentrr).
The host was kind and generous, giving us wood and making coffee in the morning.
Bear proof containers a must; signs of bear activity.”
