“We stayed at the site on Wild Cat Trail and it couldn't have been easier or a more serene stay! Check in was very low maintenance, but the caretaker made us aware of their availability. The site itself was on steep incline, and so be mindful when packing that it can be a slog to get all one's stuff up, but once we did it was a perfect stay. We ran into other campers once and they were friendly, otherwise we felt we were all alone in a beautiful spot! A++”
“We had a great time camping here. We were the only ones on the property so it was so silent and wonderful. The hosts were clear on instructions and very helpful. We did stay near the site closest to where you can park the car, so we could keep things in the car for the bears, and it was quite a difficult, steep, hill getting up to the site. Carrying everything up to the site was HARD. But once we were settled in it was wonderful. Highly suggested.”
“We visited for a girls weekend and found the land and camping sites to be fabulous. we chose this site and not a glamping one because we want to challenge ourselves with steeper hikes and managing our needs on our own. the campfire we set up was perfect, hiking offered the best views, and the ability to even go out to dinner at the nearby (3 minute drive) Russian Mule brewery was fun. This is no frills at all but if you are serious about amazing nature, it is the place to be”
“This was our first time camping in this area, after a friend recommended this camping site. We really loved the privacy and how comfortable the setting was. There's a river right by, but you can also reach an amazing swimming hole that is 2 min down the road. The forest is beautiful and you have many hiking trails with plenty of trees for shade. Since we are from Brooklyn, this was exactly the kind of experience our family was looking for. We felt truly connected to nature and to each other. Hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. There's a general store very close too. We will definitely come back.”
“beautiful, and private. we had a lovely experience in a land that is just perfect nature. three different trail options for various hiking levels and all just perfect. hike down to the river or drive around it or to the swimming hole just 2 minute drive from the site. stunning”
“We were so happy with this choice. It was a bit shaky in the beginning because we arrived at night. The hosts were helpful in pointing us in the right direction, and we took the blue path up a very steep incline. Once we saw the site, we knew we were home. Beautiful rock that we used as a table to prepare our meals. Stone firepit lovingly created by previous guests. The entire space to ourselves. The sounds of birds and the wind whispering through the trees. A romantic adventure. We were confused by the talk of camping next to the river, as we couldnt find that space when we went exploring the next morning. Lovely time and we appreciated the escape from the city into the woods.”
“This site is gorgeous. Extremely private, gorgeous forested green trails up the mountain, and there's a pristine riverbank on the property with dipping holes and views of the Catskills that we had all to ourselves. Paula is a sweetie and her communication was excellent. The campsite is a 5-ish minute walk up a steep hill from the car, as an FYI. There's also a dollar store and general store within a 15-minute drive if you need any supplies.”
