Host Instructions should be clearer or proofread.
Even the Tentrr and the State Park passport pass paragraph in the instructions contradicted itself: “A recreation passport is required at the park. You do not need to stop at the park office. A Tentrr parking pass will be available in your tent that needs to be placed in your car. This is separate from your recreation passport.” You do need a state park recreation passport and do need to go into park office to get one.
The map instructions ️ of the tent sites and the bathroom locations were off and not clear. It was also unclear the bathrooms are port-a-potties with no running water or showers nearby.
Instructions also indicated there was a second pop up tent and a 5 gallon water container but it was not in the camp site. We packed our own tent but if we didn’t we would’ve had to share the main tent with our kids.
There was also an insane amount of mosquitoes and spiders.”
Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We will be digging into pre-trip communications to ensure that our campers are receiving accurate information for their stay. Unfortunately, Michigan State Parks opted out of the 5-gallon water container, but the pop up tent is just secured so that our little mice-friends don't chew on the canvas. If you ever arrive to a Tentrr site and feel that there are items missing, please note that our customer service team is available to troubleshoot any problems from 8 a.m.-midnight, 7 days a week!
