“Bad experience. The campground was lovely, but the tent was horrible and unsafe. We didn’t even stay the night. There were holes where the walls met the floor. Water, bugs or even animals could get it. The whole point of a tent is to keep the outside from coming in. Additionally, there were fallen leaves all around the tent that were not racked up. This is a major tick risk.”
Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. She is aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned.

“The tent was very good, a few bugs but what do you expect in the woods. Mattress was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of space for a kids air mattress on the ground and a pack and play for the littlest one. Each site is very secluded, Site C where we were at is at the end of the row and truly ‘in the woods.’ Bugs were medium but not horrible, I would have preferred Site A which is a little more open eight less bugs (our friends stayed there) but the seclusion of Site C was nice so our dog could wander a bit. The water fill up is a mile away by car, so be prepared for that (we had a 5 gallon bucket and went to fill up 3 separate times since we were washing dishes and showering with a camp shower).”
