“Greg was very helpful with all of our needs and so very responsive. Tent was spotless and had everything we needed to spend our 3 nights up there.
Very private and peaceful.”
“This place was a great glamping spot! All of the amenities e.g. kitchen gear, campfire / bonfire materials, solar shower were on point. I would definitely stay here again with the exception of at the height of summer.
Both days I stayed the temperature was 100 degrees + which made the experience quite miserable, especially for my poor heat intolerant pup, because there is no electricity which means no AC. Which I typically don't like but extreme heat calls for reasonable measures.
None of this of course is in control of the hosts which is why I rated this a 5 star. I really loved everything about it, but like I said to forewarn other guests, definitely check average temps depending on the time of year you plan on visiting.
I would love to come back to enjoy the accommodate at a different time of year!”
“This was our first experience with Tentrr & Walker Mine Campground. We stayed for 3 nights with 2 young children, ages 3&6 and 2 small dogs. The site seems pretty new and the location is very private. So nice to feel secluded, but secure. There were some rocks and stumps at the site that gave us a small tumble or two, but we did our best to pick them up. The first night it rained, but the provided pop-up and canvas tent provided the perfect protection. On sunny days the mosquitos would attack around sunset, otherwise not many bugs other than some random ants. The site provided all the amenities we needed. The biggest disappointment was that the nearby trails must be accessed from the main road. The trails were not marked as easily as we had hoped and we got a little lost. It was a little rough for our little ones. I recommend a proper map or an offline trail app as internet access is not always accessible in the hills. The area can get dusty and slippery so pack proper shoes. Due to recent rains the river is high and there are a lot of large branches so take the water access at your own risk. Instead, by recommendation of the friendly hosts, we swam at Whiskeytown. We even took a short drive to Shasta Lake and Shasta Dam. Overall we highly recommend Tentrr and Walker Mine. It was such a great first glamping experience for our family. Memories we'll cherish for a lifetime!”
“Great views of river; and quiet, with excellent morning bird activity. The tent is awesome, what an experience, and the gas powered heater kept us very toasty. There are BLM hiking and biking trails everywhere within a short walk. The owners are extremely friendly, informative, and accommodating. Highly recommend. My wife and I will use this again (and again) not just because it’s close but because it’s a more exciting and extremely comfortable ‘outdoor’ and natural experience.”
