“This is as good as it gets in TX state park camping. Convenient, good access to the beach, listened to the waves all night. Tent was great. Everything was easy!”
“This was a very quick little getaway for my hubby and I. The description of the site was excellent and just as described. We are really glad that we chose to go during the month of November because the weather would have been brutal in the summer months as there’s no shade at all around the site unless you bring it yourself and renting the cabin style tent was perfect for us. We had a great breeze off the gulf and slept great on the bed provided. Site A was very close to the restroom and parking area. I recommend bringing a small wagon if you have one to transport your gear to the site from the parking area. We also recommend Arney’s Food Truck, about 2 miles away, for something yummy to eat. His funnel cakes are delicious!”
“We were switched to tent B at the last minute...the problem with tent B is that is about 100yards away from tent A- which means carrying all the supplies and ice chests a LONG way.
These are nice tents, put where not designed to let enough air through at a warm beach like Galveston. (they would be good in the mountains etc) Only one small window in each side is just not enough to get airflow in the summer at the Texas coast. Also, there is not any shade around the tent. Not even a tree. The chairs and table are nice- but to be able to use them you need to pack an awning for shade.”
“The tent was dirty when we arrived with water bottles and dirt all over the floor. The host left a broom in the tent I guess so that we could sweep??? We called the host who said we would not be charged a cleaning fee; however, the host did not understand that it's they're responsibility to clean in between bookings. It's not the guest's job to clean their own tent before their stay! We decided to leave bc the tent was not sanitized and the host did not offer to come and make it ready for us like they were supposed to!!!”
“This was so much fun to stay overnight at the beach! And the best part — all the fun without a sandy tent to clean at home! The tents are just as pictures, with lots of room between campsites. There’s a quick beach access used just by the tent campers. The beach was clean and quiet — worth the drive to not go to East Beach or Stewart Beach. The tent was clean and the bed was comfortable (as far as camp mattresses go), and the windows on all sides let in just enough breeze to make a summer night of no air conditioning bearable. The Adirondack chairs and fire pit were a fun addition that you don’t get by just renting a tent pad at the state park. Shower facilities were a bit grimy by the time we showered around 9:00; that’s not really within Tentrr’s control though. We would definitely go again!”
