Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“The place is private and quiet, we and our dogs had a great time together, there's an extra tent for us and easy to set. Really a beautiful forest camping site
The instruction is clear and the place is easy to find”
“Very helpful and responsive host. Private setting, beautiful surroundings. It was like our own little hideaway in the woods. We loved it. Would definitely stay again.”
“It's hard to come by a place like Retreat East Co., it's not often that I do. I was lucky enough to have Retreat East find me, so I brought my sister and her pup along for the impromptu weekend getaway we successfully planned last minute. I'm not the one to camp. But I can say, these campgrounds were beyond my expectations. A naturally placed wide trail through a field from the driveway (driveable) leads you to an opening into the woods. Then, you can leave your car behind, and walk down a wood chip pathway into the tents campsite, that you can see in the near distance.
My sister and I are quite familiar with cacao ceremonies, creativity, art, meditation, and building our outdoor fires. With a storage cabinet by the picnic table, the lighters for the fire along with fire starters (from what I remember) waited for us. With some notebooks of paper, water colors, and our dog, we built the fire in the afternoon for our creativity ceremony, photoshoot to capture the moments in the woods, and had the fire going well into dinner time. The ferns greeted us upon arrival, and the opening in the trees allowed us to feel 111% safe in the woods in "Upstate New York," and we grew up in and around woods ourselves. But as always, being in an unfamiliar place, you are always a little curious, but the land greeted us with open arms. We had a third guest visit us later on in the afternoon, where we continued our story shares, sharing our dreams, refreshed ones that even surprised us. The day provided clarity, a sense of ease and embodiment, a place to gather with lifelong friends as a meet-up halfway point, without having to "host" in each other's homes. Our little micro-retreat getaway (we enjoyed both the house accommodations and the tent, which we highly recommend booking both if your budget allows for it), to get to enjoy the whole grounds of Retreat East. We were happy to cozy up and make our way back to the house for wine and cook a delicious meal enjoying the privacy and layout of the kitchen in the house. However, if we stayed a few more hours, we would have happily slept under the stars in the TENTRR, if it was the only option ;) We cannot wait to return to Retreat East for more private weekends with sisters and friends, as well as enjoy Retreat East Co.'s upcoming retreat weekends, where they "source" local and foreign practitioners, wellness guides, chefs, and guide the weekend where you can truly let go and surrender, just have to show up.
An absolute dreamy weekend that left us in tears of joy when we were departing. Can't wait to see how Retreat East keeps evolving, we were happy to support our energy exchange towards a New York family who owns the property, and is a part of fulfilling their dream too, to essentially own wellness retreat centers! A true win-win.
We found our nature and were in our elements. Thank you Retreat East Co.!
Looking forward next time to enjoying the local attractions we decided not to leave the property, it was so magical! Although we did go to Market on Market on Maine Street in Ellenville to indigo tie dye some fabric, and pick up meat to eat the whole weekend. :)”
