“Great location! Had a blast. Site is very secluded, clean, quiet and peaceful. You can literally see the Milky Way on a clear night, hear the coyotes and the owls at night (don't worry it's not scary), and wake up to the birds. Mario was helpful in answering all of our questions about the site beforehand so there weren't any surprises. There's no power or drinkable water but with a car, some battery packs for phones, and a couple gallons of drinking water it was not an issue at all. Site is also close (less than 10 mins) to the grocery store and other things in case you need anything. Did get very cold at night (September 18th - 20th, 2020) so bring extra blankets and sleeping bags as well as warmer clothes than you might think you need including coats and hats. Over all though it was perfect. Thanks Mario!”
“The camp site is great! Isolated but with great options for activities such as hiking etc.
Mario (camp site owner) was a great host and made us feel welcome. I can only recommend the site.”
“This was such a lovely campsite! A stone pathway and a small step bridge over a creek takes you into a clearing by a pond surrounded by trees. You really feel like you are miles and miles from civilization. The frogs, owls, and coyotes (maybe? I'm a city girl, I can't identify these calls!) sang us to sleep. Everything was provided - dishes, pots and pans, utensils, stove, blankets, bedding, lanterns, shower, firewood and other fire-starting material (for a few extra $s). We drove up past sundown so it was a little difficult to find our way in in the dark. It had also been raining that day so the road up was quite muddy so a 4x4 would be helpful. We had a sedan and nearly got stuck! But Mario and George were wonderful hosts, and George came down to the campsite to find us and make sure we were all situated. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.”
“This is the perfect little spot. You walk over a small wooden bridge and through a grove that opens up into a small clearing that's tucked away in the woods, surrounded by lush greenery and small hills for lots of privacy. I could hear the sound of the stream just a few steps away. The bunk-bed tent is great and at the edge of a beautiful pond, with lots of frogs and birds. The Bramley Mountain Trailhead is less than a 1-minute drive away and brings you through an old bluestone rock quarry and a former fire tower. I had everything I needed in this little spot that felt like my own. I could drive my car all the way to a few yards from the site, but once at the site, my car was hidden from view, which was nice. Mario and George are very friendly and helpful! They made sure they were just a call away if I needed them.”
