I've had a good experience with Tentrr in the past. I drove 2 hours to this tent. It wasn't hard to find, but i got there and trudged through very deep snow to get to the tent. The tent was leaning because so much snow accumulated on the roof and it wasn't maintained. The bed was torn all over (see picture). But, being as it is February, I booked a winter ready site. This tent did not have a wood stove. The snow on the roof was now ice and sagging the roof considerably. I contacted to site owner, who told me he was in Florida and wouldn't be back for a week. He said that someone must have come and stolen his stove. I have a hard time believing that someone stole the 70+ lb wood stove and piping and appropriately capped the stove port through the tent. Since the tent looked like it could fall at any time due to the snow load and sagging roof and I was unable to heat the tent, I had to turn my family around and drive 2 hrs home. I've requested a full refund for my trip and have not yet received anything or a response from Tentrr. The tent owner did offer me 3 free nights in the spring, but I turned that down and just asked for my money back because I had the time off NOW with my family and have limited time to take off of work plus I have kids in school. I booked this over a month ago and planned our February school vacation around it - this has ruined the week.

Tent stays dry, and the wood stove is a treat. Bring your own compostable poop bags, for the ones that are stocked may have holes in them. Campsite is close to road, so road noise is audible, but the traffic is sparse. Bed is comfortable, but make sure to bring your own blankets unless you plan to run the stove hot throughout your night.

We had a great time at Mossy Acres 1. The campsite is beautiful and we were able to take a nice walk through the woods. The nights we stayed were chilly, but the wood burning oven worked great. We also loved that the there was a perfect little pocket in the trees for star-gazing. We would love to return to this site!

Had a great time at Mossy Acers 1!! We will definitely be visiting again. Site is close to the road for easy access. Lots of trails to hike near by. Wood stove in tent works great. Nice memory foam mattress in tent also. Lots of owls in this area. Great experience thanks Matt and Andrea!!

My daughter and I had a good time camping in this cozy site. Good: The tent was cozy The bed was comfy We felt safe and it was easy to get to and from our car Matt was nice and chopped some wood for us , swept after we arrived. He apologized for not cleaning the site before we arrived, and offered us a free night the next time, which was a nice gesture. He also filled the shower bag for us and told us to call if we needed anything. But we didn’t want to bother them because they were moving. Not as good: The tent had mouse poop and the site had more than a few pieces of garbage (soggy toilet roll, kids toys, someone’s hair band, etc) on it when we arrived. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned in some time and the tent was muddy and messy (whoever left didn’t care about leaving it in good shape for the next people). Also, there were no utensils for the fire and the wire grill hadn’t been cleaned. And the cupboard was crammed with empty wrappers. There were only 3 toilet bags-/not enough for two nights If you are looking to get away from it all, this site is very close to the road and you can see the flashing lights of cars at night and hear them. All in all it was a positive experience, but for the money I expected a cleaner site!

The site was amazing and the camp hosts were very responsive when we had questions. A small suggestion and thing to be aware of. Perhaps because it was raining when we visited, our tent was quite a bit more spider-y than we expected. A mosquito net above the bed may have helped us feel more comfortable with this. As things were, we were able to use the auxiliary tent and sleeping bags that were provided by the camp site and they were quite comfortable. So overall we had a fantastic time.

Mat and his wife were so nice. The campground had everything we needed and was very close to parking so we could get to our car easily. Chesterfield gorge was amazing for a day of hiking. Overall a great stay.
