“We absolutely loved the Bargate trail tent site at Sky Parlor Farm. It offered an excellent base camp for going fly fishing and cycling through the gorgeous Battenkill Valley. The property itself has wonderful walking paths throughout and it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Richard, the host was so helpful and recommended some terrific cycling routes in the area. We look forward to visiting again!”
“The tent location is gorgeous and the farm is beautiful! I only got to wander one trail but it was the perfect length and I surprised a lot of deer :) The farm is secluded but also within a reasonable distance of great hikes and activities- definitely check out My Greylock if you’re of a mountain climbing disposition. The owner will send you a comprehensive guide for your stay and is extremely communicative and helpful, though he is serious about needing 4 wheel drive to traverse the road to the tent. It’s not terrible (and is incredibly beautiful), but there are some bumps and a little hill at the beginning, so be prepared. A cart is very thoughtfully supplied for those who don’t have 4WD.
