Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Next booking will be Fall.
Wish they had poop bags and we had to throw away trash from last guest and the map was wrong
With Tent #, but I will be back!”
“The lake view is obstructed by lots of small trees that needs to be cut back. There is no electricity so these tents are hot during the summer. Unzipping the windows really helps with airflow and I would suggest bringing a portable fan with if you are accustomed to heat and humidity. Also bring bug spray. It was a pleasant stay overall.”
“This place is so peaceful and beautiful! We just needed a quick getaway and Tishomingo State Park was the perfect choice. We chose it because it was near the Natchez Trace but we'll be going back because we loved the tent set up so much!! It was by far the most comfortable night I've ever spent in a tent (the queen bed and tent-loo had a LOT to do with that!!) and the minimalist set up inside and around the campsite was just exactly perfect. We were able to bring our own blankets and pillows so I just felt like my bedroom was transported into the wilderness. It did rain for half of one day but none of our stuff got wet inside the tent! Highly recommend!!!!”
“This is the best way to go primitive camping! All the work is already done for you: the tent is up, bed installed, toilet ready, fire pit with ways to grill on it, a couple of chairs, benches and tables. The only thing that we would complain about is how hot the tent gets. Because of the canvas material and limited windows for ventilation, it got very humid and hot. They have a nice heater option and could have the same for a small AC unit. That would have been ideal! The campground and trails themselves are very nice and well-maintained. We wish local information along with campground brochures/maps would have been printed inside the tent. Sometimes we didn’t have the best service to look back through emails and we had to wait until the park office opened to get information before we started hiking trails. We will camp again once it gets cooler weather!”
“Will camp again at this site, very peaceful. A lot of privacy and room for the dogs to roam close by. They provide a toilet! And I liked the platform the tent was on . We weren’t on the ground.”
