“Very private and enjoyable camp site. We got there late and it was difficult to find, especially because we had limited service. but once we found it, there’s a really nice grass path right to the site. Very well maintained and the heater worked very well as it was definitely cold out. The only issue was that although you can’t see it, you can hear the highway very close by, so just be aware. Tons of great hiking and biking trails nearby.”
“We had a great time at Sparrow’s Hideaway. There are a ton of activities to do in the area including mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and tubing. Port Jervis is a nice little town with any essentials that you’ll need and is just a quick 10 minute drive from the site.
The actual site is down a nice grass path and over a little bridge to the secluded area on the back of the property. There is a little creek right by the site that you can jump into waist high, but it’s not big enough for any swimming or activities.
The tent was relatively clean and had a full tank of propane for the heater. The site is secluded but you can see the back of a nearby house in the distance and you can hear the road very well both during the day and night. The pictured pond is right behind the owners house but we were invited to swim in it if we wanted to.”
