What an amazing stay! The amazingly friendly Felicia and John (and their adorable pup) greeted us and showed us where to park upon arrival. John led us down the 1/2 mile hike to our site and showed us around (after we arrived a bit later than planned - thank you!) We awoke to the most beautiful, lush forest and went straight to the pond for a swim. On our second afternoon/night it poured rain for 15 hours and the spacious tent stayed completely dry. The sound of rain on canvas was so relaxing, but when we needed a quick break, the stormy pond and soaked woodland welcomed us. We got to enjoy the pond the canoe before and after the rain and had an amazing time exploring the islands and birding in the marshes! With the camp a bit of a hike up/down a hill, definitely keep your bag load and skill level in mind when booking :) Thank you again! This trip inspired many many more Maine adventures to come, thought we hope to come back here soon too!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this site before anyone else. It also happened to be our first stay at any Tentrr campsite. Felicia and John are super nice and extremely responsive, and this was most appreciated. They helped us get our kayaks to the boat launch up the road. Tent was spacious and in great condition - plenty of room to keep all of our gear dry when it started to rain. View of the pond is somewhat obstructed from the tent, but provides a reasonable amount of privacy from any boaters. The pond was beautiful, clean, and quite large - we definitely suggest renting the canoe or taking your own vessel to fully enjoy the water. Trek down to the campsite from the parking area is relatively steep. Okay for going down, then a bit of a hike to get back up. Felicia and John offered to take our stuff down most of the way with their tractor, then there's a short section impassable by vehicle where you cross a few streams, so it was muddy in areas. Campsite itself is also on a bit of an incline but it was manageable.
