“Great site, very clean and well equipped. It's next to a ski center/lodge so there is some activity but it is mostly quiet. There a pond right next to the camping site with a drain that makes a "waterfall" type of sound and is very nice. We had a very relaxing weekend there.”
“The good: the accoutrements were great! Everything from the tent to the air mattress, to the patio chairs, to the wagon to carry everything from the car to the campsite. We slept through a pretty heavy storm and the tent did not leak!
The bad: the setting is meh: next to a pond of standing water and not much to do in the way of hiking trails or anything since it is next to a ski resort. You would have to drive elsewhere to do that.
All in all, a good weekend. Thanks Plattekill.”
“Enjoyable stay. Checkin quick, tent and surroundings clean and complete. Right at mountain so convenient. Had nice chat with Jill and would be nice to have umbrella for shade and wagon to pull gear/food down long (about 70 yard) walk from car to tent. Could not select star rating but would give 4 stars”
“The site was really picturesque, and we loved taking the ski lift to the top of the mountain to get a view of the Catskills. Everything on site was well-maintained. Susan and her staff were very friendly - they had even set up the spare tent for us when we arrived.
The site is definitely secluded, but you're not in the middle of nowhere; the campsite is a short walk to a ski lodge, which was open most of the day and provided us access to coffee and restrooms.
We drove to Hobart book village nearby as well, which I would definitely recommend checking out if you like to read - some amazing old book collections there.”
