Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Our family of four was looking for a last-minute campout in the area, and Little Sprite Retreat was just what we hoped it would be! Highly private natural setting, but very accessible and conveniently laid out campsite: you just pull up in your vehicle, and everything - the tent, campfire grill, picnic table, loo, and a trash bin - is right there and already set up. The tent was very spacious, which was perfect when it started to rain. The tent was also stocked with cleaning supplies, plenty of bags for the loo, and a handy broom for sweeping the platform. You do hear some road noise at night and other signs of civilization, including possible gun shots in the distance, but it didn't bother us, and we figure that's the trade-off for being close to provisions in Dolgeville. The convenience of using Tentrr and discovering Beaversprite were huge wins for me and my husband, while undoubtedly the nearby creek, with its little rocky shores, stepping stones, and old beaver dam, cemented the place in our kids' hearts forever! We hiked some of the trails in the sanctuary, too, which was very pleasant and easily managed by our 4-year-old, though the plants get a bit tall in a couple sections. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would definitely consider returning!”
“We had such a great time at this site. It was immaculate when we arrived and had everything ready, including water and dry wood. The host was very responsive throughout the stay. The stream was so fun to play in! If you have kids, the nature center is right nearby and a fun place for the kids to poke around.”
“Firstly this review is long overdue. My fiancee and I had a great experience here! This is a great site if you really want to be in the woods and away from people. Also we had some wonderful animal encounters! There is a creek nearby which definitely sees some wildlife traffic. It is well kept, for being a Canvas tent in the woods. The land has such an intriguing story. The hostess was friendly and forthcoming with all the necessary information. Also you have to go to the Beaversprite Conservation Center. Jessica was amazing as our point of contact during our stay. She was delightful to talk with and has a wealth of knowledge to share about the animals and land. So I want to give a big shout out to Jessica for really helping make our experience memorable. Thank you!!”
“This was our first TentRR experience and it was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the canvas tent and dry platform making camping so much easier. The hosts were kind enough to provide camp fire starting materials and citronella candles (that were absolutely needed). If we had more time, the preserve has much to explore and includes a nature center that I did not know about until arrival. It is a very remote location. It was a little too remote for my comfort but I am sure there are many folks seeking that kind of experience.”
