“Our host, Keith, was a gem and made us feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment we arrived. With a toddler, a wife whom is unsure if camping to begin with, and a 9 week old puppy, saftey was a concern for me. And I felt safe immediately once we parked. A few homes with clutter in the front yards had me second guessing for a minute. But Keith happily shuttles your belongings to your campsite as many times as you need upon arrival and departure. He responded quickly and communicated well.
Only thing I could complain about was that the area had not gotten rain in awhile and the creek in the photos was complete dry. Kind of a bummer because I picked that site to be next to a creek…buzz kill. BUT we made the most of it and had a great time.
There are bundles of firewood for $10 at the parking area if you don’t bring your own, and it’s a good amount for $10.
The propane heater is great and can get that tent pretty hot. We actually woke up and turned it off one night we got so hot.”
“We had such a relaxing “glamping” experience staying here at Mountain Holler. Tonya and Keith were so accommodating; they even helped transport my son and I, along with all our luggage, down to the site. We definitely recommend this for anyone staying in the area!”

“This was a last minute trip for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. It rained both days but only for about an hour. It was raining when we got there and the hosts (Keith and Tonya) met us to help us get our stuff down to the tent. They were a life saver and we super appreciated their help. It’s a bit of a walk from the car to the tent (about 4-5 minutes). But once you’re there you are by a little creek and under a thick canopy of trees so the temperature is at least 5 degrees less than if you were out. It was 87 degrees listed for Lookout Mtn but we never got hot at the camp site.
We are not camping ppl so we wasn’t sure what we’d need but they already had all of the essentials. They also had a little s’more gift bag for us. So we had s’mores for dessert one night.
They also provide a 5 gal thing of cold water so no need to trek a bunch of water bottles. Everything was perfect. I don’t even know how they keep that tent so clean being down in the woods like that and especially after it rained like it did on us. Renters will not be disappointed. Don’t let the summer heat scare you off either.”
