“Terrible experience! Requested a refund but was not sent a link to do so.
When we arrived at the site the lid was off the water container and debris had blown in and was in the water. The interior of the tent was a mess with stuff strewn about on the floor. There was a broken metal wagon on site with rusty, sharp metal edges.
I texted Mandy the camp host who basically called me a liar and accused me of making up excuses to cancel the reservation. She said she would send me a link to request a refund but she never sent it. I told her I took pictures of the problems and she wanted me to send them to her. I asked her to come to the site so I could show her. She said she was not even in the area. She did not offer to remedy the problems at Site E or move us to another site. We were forced to make other sleeping arrangements for Friday and Saturday nights, while at the park for a friend’s wedding.
Please return the money I paid. The problems at the site were bad enough, but the bad attitude and lack of assistance from the camp host were worse.”
“This service is incredible. As long as you bring a wagon to get your things to your site, you will have the best time! Will 100% be using Tentrr again!”
“We had a great time! Was so convenient having everything ready for us. Only thing to note is that the platform is a good 2 ft from the ground. Would’ve liked there to be a step since we’re older. The step down was a little rough on the knees.”
“Fountainbleu State park, Mandeville, LA- “Glamping” canvas tent sites.
I would not call this glamping.
Well we survived our first camping experience with the dogs. Only 2 nights here and we couldn’t wait to get home. Haha!! I would give this place a 4/5 stars. It wasn’t THAT bad.
My 2 complaints is no bathhouse anywhere close. We could have found one if we drove to it. But it was 2 nights and we decided to rough it.
Second complaint is the spot is SO far from where you park. So you gotta lug all your crap probably 1/4 a mile- maybe longer. Idk, I didn’t measure it. But it was very exhausting because we got a lot of stuff because the spot is super primitive. No water or electricity at the spot. They do give you a 5 gallon thing of water which is great. You have a small toilet with disposable bags to use in. But yeah. Idk if we will go again. We woke up this morning ready to come home and bathe!
The dogs had a blast. The canvas tent was comfortable. We were very secluded from other campers. The fire was nice (you have to bring all your own fire wood and lug it to your site).
Well enough of my rambling- was it the worst ever? No, not at all. I did enjoy a lot out of it also. I can definitely go without electricity, no problem. I just need a nice shower and would love to drive right up to our spot. That would have made it an amazing experience and then I would have definitely planned to go again.”
“This place was amazing! The area was secluded but not too far from where the car is parked. We were so thankful for the wagon to help carry our items. The tent and space was gorgeous. We’ll be back!”
“This place is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a little get away from the world. Our propane went out for the heater, but Patrick changed it for us that day so that was nice. The only thing is that the public restrooms/showers by camp are closed to us campers, so you have to drive to the actual Fountainbleau campsite and use theirs. We made s’mores, explored the beautiful site, and had the best trip!!”
