“Great spot, central to many Deep Creek activities but also off the beaten path. If you are looking for total seclusion, you may be somewhat disappointed. There are a few houses in the distance and one can hear traffic on the road from the campsite, however the site itself is tucked away and not visible at all. Bear Creek is right on the property, and the gurgling of running water really does put one at ease. The hosts were great, camp site was very clean, and the propane grill was an added luxury. Firewood was also provided-definite bonus! I would stay here again.”
“My husband hasn't stopped talking about this trip, which was my birthday present to him. It was beautiful and the hosts provided a delicious treat from the local bakery. The campsite was well-equipped with everything we need to have a special time with each other and our 6-month old. We'd love to come back again, but now just want to explore a million other Tentrrs because this was such a great time.”
“We had such a great time at this Tentrr site! It’s in a beautiful location tucked behind some trees so you feel like it’s fairly remote and hidden. You have the sound of Bear Creek in the background and it’s just a few steps away to some great fishing - my partner caught several fish one afternoon right by the site. We are normally campers so the Tentrr tent and the on-site propane grill was such a luxury! Highly recommend this spot.”
“This is the perfect spot for a weekend of hiking in the area. We easily drove to state parks in MD and PA from here and had options to cook at the site or enjoy the surrounding areas. The location is beautiful and the set up is exactly what’s needed for a no-brainer weekend away.”
“This site was beautiful and very well stocked. We visited in winter and were worried that it would be cancelled due to snow, but they dug the thing out and gave us extra propane tanks for our heater. At one point my car got stuck in the snow and Sean drove his tractor down and pulled us right out (I overestimated my Honda's ability to do a 3 point turn in more than 3 inches of snow). We were both beyond pleased and definitely recommend this site to others.”
“Great stay at Trout Meadow! The site was secluded, but very easy to access. You can hear the nearby stream from the tent, which creates a relaxing atmosphere. Access to the stream is also very easy from several points. The hosts even refreshed our firewood after the first night. And last but not least, the hosts also gifted us a delicious blueberry coffee cake from a local bakery. Highly recommend this site!”
