“I could see how this campsite was so nice when the tent was first put up. Unfortunately, it has not been maintained well. When we first showed up, the small road leading to it had trash all over it (beer bottles, broken classes and other food trashes.) When we pulled up to the site, there were trash everywhere! The site looked like a landfill almost. I am not sure if the people before us just decided to spread their trash all over the place or wild animal got into the trash can and spread it all over the place. The site keepers didn't pick up their phone so I called Tentrr but they weren't very helpful. Lady on the phone was giving me an attitude and pretty much saying that there is nothing she can do so just fill out complaint via email. Remind you, we drove for hours! When I finally got hold of the camp manager, he was apologetic and said either we can clean up the trash ourselves or he can come the next day. We were leaving the next day. So we decided to clean it up ourselves because we didn't have anywhere else to go, which took us an hour. The camp keeper also said he will refund me back $50. Would I do Tentrr again? Probably. But I suggest that you read the reviews carefully!”
“There was no shower, as advertised. The loo that was mentioned is not a separate outhouse, but it was a bucket 3 feet from the bed inside the tent. We were also told there would be firewood, but there were 3 pieces of large wood when we arrived, so we had to buy some. The tent zipper was broken as well, so bugs got into the tent. The garbage provided was also not a bear-safe garbage, so we had to keep the garbage bag in our car during the nights.”
“The tent area was dirty, toilet was dirty and the tent over it was falling apart . Got woken up by a rooster , we stayed only 1 night out of the 2 that we payed for .”
“It was as promised a beautiful campsite. Road is unpaved of course, but this wasn't a problem. Got up easily in a Prius, no trouble. Previous guests left a little bit of a mess behind, but easily swept away and cleaned up. Everything as expected.
Like other reviews mention, there was some loudness from neighbors. There was some kind of verbal fight overnight that got dogs upset, so my child struggled to sleep after. But that's well beyond the owners' control. This made is less of a peaceful campsite than expected, but still pretty.
There was also an unexpected rooster. So you definitely won't miss the sunrise. But we didn't mind. We are earlier risers.”
“This place was greatly overpriced. The heater in the tent was a wood burning stove (not propane), and there was no wood provided by the host. We brought out own wood, but couldn't get the stove to work. Upon arrival there was trash left behind, and it was clear that no one had been by to clean after the previous tenant. There was no potable water either, which had not been indicated in the description. The "bathroom" was a gross old tent. Overall, we would not stay here again.”
“Not thrilled by this experience. Be very careful with the drive up to the site. Our van got stuck and we had to wait 6 hours for a tow truck to come tow it out. I tried contacting the host several times and didn’t hear from him at all. Bring extra water and firewood because although it’s stated that their will be some provided, there’s not. I definitely will be saving money and booking a campsite through a campground next time. The price and value is where I don’t agree with this listing. I would have not been upset with my stay if this was a cheaper site but because it was rather high for a tent, I expected more. The mattress is also stained and the mattress pad was dirty and rolled up under the bed on the floor. Bring extra sheets if you’re planning on sleeping on the bed.”
