“CAMPER BEWARE.
1. This is is not a "mountain hideaway." IT IS NOT IN THE FOREST. It is in a wooded area on the back of a residential lot. It is not a large lot. There is a neighbor's house about 100 yards from the tent. Those neighbors had a raucous party with loud music and teens screaming/squealing until well past 10 pm.
On the other side of the property is apparently a firing range as we heard nonstop gunshots all day.
2. There is not "parking nearby." ** THIS IS A HIKE-IN SITE** You should pack as if you are going backpacking. The parking is at least 1/3 mile away from the tent. The last 1/3 of that distance is a steep, very rocky single track trail -- you cannot even pull in your gear with a wagon. Anything you bring, you will be carrying it in on foot.
I cannot believe we paid nearly $250 to spend two nights in someone's back yard, and to haul all our "car camping" gear in and out, to boot. It was all the work of backpacking with all the noise of a campground, and none of the wilderness of either.
Skip this rip-off and camp for $30/night at one of the many nearby state or national parks and you will have an easier time and actually be camping in the forest.”
“A great little site to camp. Good tent kept us dry through a very rainy day and night and the wood-stove kept us warm and dry. Had a nice fire-ring outside for campfire cooking and atmosphere.”
“I am only rating this rental a 5 because I can't rate it a 6! Our host went above and beyond to make sure my family had an amazing time! Upon arrival we were greeted with our beautiful basket of eggs and farm fresh veggies. I forgot to pack butter and she was very guick to say I have some for you. Jerali made sure to put a air mattress in the tent already blown up for my kids. We were also invited to come to the natural spring and pick grapes off the trees. The site itself is so peaceful, secluded and we'll stocked. Our host provided so many things that we didn't need to pack half the things that we did. My children loved swinging in the hammock and watching the tree canopy. It drizzled a little but there was enough tree coverage that we only felt a couple drops. Absolutely a beautiful space!! We are already planning a trip back in the fall because we KNOW this spot will be beautiful!!!”

“This is a charming spot! We went in the winter, and it was such a cozy spot with the wood stove. You barely need to bring anything because Jennie provides so much that you need. There are some great hiking spots close by like Michaux and Caledonia State Parks.”
