Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Richard has a beautiful piece of property, it is very secluded yet still accessible. My husband and two young daughters and I loved playing near the creek. I think the best part of our trip was taking the less than 5 minute drive down to the upper Delaware river. There is access literally less than 5 minutes and it’s stunning. You can swim, tube, kayak fish and much more. It’s a beautiful part of the river. My young girls loved the rock pools and catching tadpoles. At night, the stars are some of the best I’ve seen. We opted to set up the six person tent that is at the campsite. The actual tentrr canvas tent had some spiders that my daughters weren’t keen on, so the tent was great that was there. There are some cute little towns nearby (barryville) that had s cute market and ice cream. We will love to visit again!”
“Great trip! Host was super nice and helpful, especially when our vehicle got stuck in some mud. We camped with two dogs and they had a blast as well. I've also never seen so many fireflies in my life! Would happily go back. Minus one half star as you can hear some auto noise from a nearby highway, but if you choose to tune it out, you won't notice it and it's Impossible to hear it from inside the tent.”
“It was our first time camping, and we really enjoyed our time on Rich's property; it was quite private and we had everything that we needed. You can really see the stars at night and it was quite breathtaking. The highlight of our experience was seeing a bald eagle perched on a tree close to our tent. The sound of the running creek also helped us fall asleep. Rich sent us a list of things to do around town if we ever got bored but we were pretty content. We went fishing and kayaking on the Delaware River, and we went hiking around town.”
“We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Creek. In fact the campsite lives up to its name. As you approach the clearing, a beautiful creek runs behind the tent, providing the soft sound of trickling water and a great place to dip your feet.
The site is about 200 yards from the road, across the street from where the landowner, Richard and his wife live. They were great. Richard went the extra distance to communicate easy directions and was waiting with a trailer to help haul our stuff into the site. Coffee cups were provided when we forgot our own.
It is a very private space and the Tentrr equipment is very high quality. Richard, a beer maker, had a pressurized keg to dispense water which was fun. The shower and Loo worked great and were very convenient. There is plenty to do nearby but we found ourselves more interested in hanging out at the site, cooking, drinking coffee, some yoga in the cleared field and reading on the deck in the Adirondacks.
Our only disappointment was the occasional noise from traffic, but it did not disturb our sleep or disrupt the very peaceful morning.”
