“Highly recommend this site! Site J is the furthest away and very secluded, but still only a 15 minute or so paddle from the park. We were surprised to use the heater at night and how windy it got one day- even in May, pack a hoodie & bring a stove in case you can’t have a fire! The water had a lot of sediment in it while we were there so no swimming, which was a bummer. But having the beach all to ourselves more than made up for it. We heard alligators in the bayou behind us in the morning, saw a snake, all types of birds and various tracks in the sand. Bring sheets for the mattress or a sleeping bag!”
“My husband and I stayed at this Tentrr site for the first time in March. We cannot stop talking about how great an experience we had! The site came with the essentials and was so serene! This site is very private and was only a 15 minute canoe ride to get there! Weather was a little cool which helped keep the bugs at bay too. Highly recommend site J and booking through Tentrr. Patrick was helpful with any questions we had. We mostly just enjoyed escaping the city for a few days and being submersed in nature without having to lug all our own gear. Beautiful park and positive overall experience!”
“The views and accommodations were nice. It was a bit challenging to canoe to but we liked being farther out. Our main concern was that the gapping in the flooring let in mosquitoes and other bugs in the tent all night.”
Hi Pamela! Thanks so much for taking the time to review this site! We appreciate all feedback from our campers - it's how we improve. I wanted to let you know that we are adding interior carpets to all of our sites by the end of the week to block any gaps in the flooring and help cut down on those pesky mosquitoes. I hope you'll give us another shot in the future!
