“Apple Orchard local was private & scenic, owner Elizabeth and staff wonderful. Enjoyed hanging @ the tasting room & chatting with others. Overall we enjoyed our time & close to our adventures so 5+ stars for that. Tentrr setup however needs major updating by the company at this location hence the lower rating: need steps to access & exit platform more safely, mattress we had was burnt on one side, toilet weathered and unusable. Also could use actual camping toilet liner’s instead of contractor size garbage bag for this system. No Adirondack chairs, prep table weathered and no bench as pictured, found mold or something inside the tent platform around the edges. We came prepared with our own camping gear as backup so made it work but for the price, we expected better and defeats the purpose of the Tentrr experience. Hoping upgrades can be made because it is a really nice spot.”
Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. She is aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned.

“A lovely site with a nice “sound bath” from a nearby pond. We were very comfortable, had enough supplies (loo). We’re converts to this kind of camping because sleeping on a comfy bed while also enjoying everything else about the outdoors means a good nights rest for hiking (etc.) adventures the next day. Great choice with friendly and helpful staff.”
“Elizabeth’s farm was beautiful and she was very sweet however the tent site was not as advertised. Please be ware there is NO heater at this location even though the air bnb ad includes a description and pictures of a heater.”
“My weekend at the orchard was incredible. This tent site is at the edge of the property, overlooking meadows and the orchards. The views were incredible and I could have watched the sky forever. Being at the far edge of the orchard, the site was away from the more commercial areas of the property, which is exactly what I wanted for a peaceful getaway weekend. The orchard owner and staff were welcoming and responsive to my needs and respectful of my privacy. I can't imagine a better escape.”
“This location is in a beautiful area with a lot to do (though many of the nearby trailhead parking lots filled up quickly, so make sure to go early). The view from the tent is beautiful and the orchard itself is very fun. They sell great hard cider (I highly recommend trying it!), wood-fired pizza and have a great farmstand. The camp keeper was very nice and friendly. However, this is not a private site (unlike our previous Tentrr experience). There is one tent quite close by and another two within earshot. One of the nearby tents had a big group of people who made loud noise late into the night, which was pretty annoying. Also, when we arrived we noticed there weren't any extra loo bags at the site, and asked several times for more, but never got them, which meant using the same loo bag for the whole weekend (not ideal...).”
“Great site! Beautiful views during the day and sunset/sunrise. The orchard and surrounding area provided a lot to do. New Paltz is 20 mins away and has cafes, trails, etc. We weren't aware until the last morning, but 5 mins from the site is a plaza with a grocery store, walgreens, and restaurants if needed. Only problems were that we didn't have directions to the actual tent site and got lost when we arrived at night. Make sure you get clear instructions before you're there. Also, the space heater wasn't working and the loo bags weren't at our tent. Make sure you bring blankets/ the appropriate supplies if you head up. Everything else was great.”
