Our stay at site C was great! The tent was cool - easy to zip up - and we appreciated that the walk to the tent wasn’t as long as the description said! We had an awesome time hiking & got engaged here! Thanks for giving us such a cool spot to celebrate!! Our only issue was that the instructions seemed to be for every Tentrr site? It took us a long time to find, the instructions sent us to an address, and then later down in the instructions, there is an unrelated set of instructions that are more accurate. There was no pink ribbon on our site, so it was hard to find. For other guests, if you put your GPS to the Clay Iron Furnace parking lot, it takes you to the correct road. There are a few Tentrr sites along the road leading to the parking lot. They were in ABCD order, so we just worked backwards when we were lost! The pink ribbons were also small and some hidden by trees. Site C has no pink ribbon. Our tent also did not have a lock, but that meant we had no trouble getting in (: !

Tentrr gave me multiple directions to the location, but only one was right. The site itself is VERY inconvenient. It's like the park didn't know where to stick them/ didn't really want them there, so they are off the side of the road, I got stuck in the mud trying to park. The signs are laughably small, and you have to leave your car right on the road, which feels unsafe for everyone. The site itself was okay, but was wet and dirty and smelled like strong bleach, which just seemed like a poor cleanup effort. I was under the impression there was going to be a latrine at least, but it was just a bucket and a bag for showering that was moldy and unusable. Bring your own toilet paper! I was expecting a bit more space around the site, but the forest is not cleared out or suitable for camping.

The tent was amazing, very pretty out there. The directions we received to find the place where a little confusing, and we were quite a bit late so we couldn’t call, we shortly got it figure out though, and it definitely may have been a gps issues that’s caused the instructions to be more confusing than necessary. Overall the stay was amazing, and so was the area!

It was good, great place, vary private, a little bit far away from the car and no actual parking space, just parked car in dirt along the road. And no restrooms anywhere around. The one which is inside the tent is a joke. But overall it's a great experience. You won't get such privacy at any other campground.

Great secluded site—the tent and furniture was perfect! The site was difficult to find, though. Perhaps sharing GPS coordinates would help.

Location was ideal; surrounded by trees and not close to anyone. Perfect if you want to be alone in nature. Bed was super comfortable to us. Interior place was clean--though if you are expected Comfort Inn cleanliness in a canvas tent, prepared to be disappointed:). The side tables were outside (and now wet), however, and the toilet, which was also outside thank goodness(!) had not been cleaned out from last use. It rained heavily that night but we stayed nice and dry. The walk to the tent from the road wasn't far at all, though a bit up hill on the way back (just a note for those who have mobility issues). Communication with Hunter was very good. However, the Tentrr official information documents, especially the MAP, was inaccurate. We thought we could find the tent easily following the map. However, the pdf map indicates the tents should be on the furnace trail; they are not, they are on the road coming into the trail parking lot. We ended up hiking all the way down the furnace path with all our stuff before calling Hunter and getting accurate directions and then hiking out in the rain:)) At least we saw the furnace and got some exercise. In short, rely on your human contact not the Tentrr documents. Oh, and this location does not supply toilet paper and we had to request water (Hunter supplied quickly). Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

I am sorry to say that this was an absolute scam. We did not end up being able to stay at our site. The tent was INVESTED with bugs and not in a typical camp-site way. There were COCKROACHES all over the inside of the tent. The tent was not sealed; there was no way to get up onto the ~4-foot tall platform. Additionally, the "tent site" appears plopped in the middle of the woods. You have to walk 100 yards down a steep hill that is not cleared out as a path. The campsite is just what is shown in the picture; there is no picnic table or space other than about 3-4 feet in front of the tent platform. This was incredibly disappointing and not safe.

Hello Sophia, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We have gotten a new host for this park. We have added stairs and also made the area for the site wider with clearer paths.
