We had an amazing weekend at the Nights of 1000 Stars campsite. The camp keepers were very helpful and responsive. We came with our two young kids, and Elena sent us a great list of suggestions for kid activities in the area, including an amazing drive in movie theater (the kids had the best time!). There is beautiful hiking all around the campsite. We hiked up to a gorgeous vista in Delhi. We also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Greenane Farms and visiting the very cute coffee and bookshop in Oneata. It was a wonderful weekend, and we can't wait to go back again next summer.

An amazing site to visit if you're an avid stargazer! The site was clean, well isolated, and has beautiful scenery. Mike and Elena were excellent hosts and checked up on us part way through our stay. For first time campers we'd recommend bringing extra blankets, sleeping bags, and long underwear, as the site is on the side of a mountain and will get colder then you'd expect. If you plan to cook on site we also recommend bringing a deep cast iron pan (with lid), a sturdy pot, and a tall standing grate for the above-ground fire pit so you'll have extra cooking space.

This was my first experience with Tentrr and it was an extremely positive one. The site was clean and almost all the amenities were there. That and having the Campkeepers, Michael and Steven, available and checking in often helped an essentially camping newbie like me arrive and survive the trip! Michael and Steven brought firewood and got the campfire started for me and then got it going again that same evening when a rolling t-storm put the first one out. To note, the tent withstood the rains well though it all sounded ferocious. After all that, and with kinder weather, I was pretty self-sufficient managing the campsite and they left me alone to leave site and explore the neighboring areas as I pleased, different from what other campers at the other nearby sites did staying most of the time at camp. But they also checked in on me and stuck around for conversation too. I appreciated the human connection! I did learn that my particular site requires 4WD, SUV height to seamlessly navigate the road that takes you there. And definitely watch the weather. It got pretty cold one night and had it dipped a few more degrees, the fire stove that was advertised in the amenities, but wasn’t there, would have been greatly needed. Otherwise, the campsite was lovely and you really do get great views of the stars as night. I lucked into an amazing view of the near full moon illuminating the clearing one night and was just extremely grateful to witness the beauty. Would definitely do Tentrr again to have more opportunities to enjoy that natural peace and solitude.

This campsite is amazing! i love how isolated and peaceful it is. We (my boyfriend and I) took our 2 dogs and they were in paradise just running around and enjoying every minute of it. Mike was there to check on us. He was so helpful, told us about the town and the cool activities around. He brought us more water and fire wood. It was our first time there and we truly enjoyed it.
