Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“—The tent is battered: a fist-sized hole in the ceiling (not over the bed, fortunately) which we plugged up and another in the front, brown discoloration on the canvas ceiling from rain.
—Tentrr provides a set of beige sheets and two pillows that were water stained and mildewy, ultimately didn’t matter because we were told to bring our own bedding. Definitely do!
—The location is beautiful but weird, local sportsmen park along the road and in the designated lot. One group or individual walked by around 5 AM and shined a light on the wall of our tent…very unsettling if you’re not expecting any foot traffic nearby.
—We had low expectations and it was satisfactory as a “no frills” canvas tent experience for the price, but those details were really substandard and worth addressing. The park employees were very nice!”
“The place was clean and beautiful, however it was not easy to find it. There is no clear sign on the road to know where the tent was. When I contacted the phone # to get help, it sounded like the reps were just reading off of their instructions but they couldn't guide me on where to go on the road because there were no signs on the road. There is a tiny Tentrr symbol on a tree that is super hidden but there were no instructions on where to park. I had to contact them multiple times to get clarity on parking because there was a sign that said no parking allowed and that vehicles will be towed but that's exactly where I was being asked by Tentrr to park. It took us 2 hrs to finally to be connected to the listing owner who basically just asked us to park where there was a sign that said no parking.
Listing said there would be waste bag for NASA style toilet but there was NO waste bag, nor any toilet paper. So, anytime I needed to use the toilet, I had to drive out to a diff camping spot”
Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. We are currently working with New York State Parks to make and hang all appropriate signage to avoid any future confusion, and we have ensured that any missing site items have been ordered for these campsites.
Again, we apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope to see you out camping with us again soon!
Cheers!
