This was such a nice stay for my husband and I. Everything we needed was provided. The cabin was well built and a nice/clean set up. We loved the personal touch of the welcome sign. Thank you so much.

Absolutely breathtaking little retreat. My husband, my two year old and I had such a great night here. The firepit was awesome and the solar lights on the inside and outside of the cabin really make for a beautiful night. Carol and Ricky were so kind and showed us around when we first got there. We ended up going for an ATV ride with Carol around the property and it was just a really great experience for everyone. It was our little boys first camping trip and we are so thankful we did it at Smith Springs. We will be back again for sure

I can't say enough about this beautiful getaway! I got held up at work and arrived just before sunset, much later than I had planned. Ricky and Carol were there waiting on me, with a campfire already ablaze, tiki torches lit, and a sweet welcome for my mutts and me on the chalkboard outside the tiny cabin. They were so friendly and helpful, there if I needed them but happy to give me the space I had come for. The campsite was so lovely, with Adirondack chairs by the fire, a picnic table, hot water for handwashing, a very clean and stocked port-a-potty, and solar-powered lights along the path and string lights in the cabin. The cabin itself was perfect. I loved the screened walls that gave me the feeling of camping outside with less worry about bugs, and with tarps that could be pulled down for privacy. The cot and cabin chair were comfy, and Ricky and Carol had provided a dog bed for my pooches, as well as everything I needed to clean up after them at the campsite. There were even bottles of water and a bag of marshmallows. There was a fan in the cabin that was welcome until it cooled down after sundown. The setting was beautiful, with a view of the fish pond from my cot. I fell asleep to the sound of frogs and woke up to the birds. The dogs and I enjoyed a walk around the pond and chatting with a couple of fishers the next day. Rick and Carol had made sure the knew there was someone staying in the cabin so they avoided fishing in that area. The cabin was easy to get to, and had a good place to park that made it easy to unload my things. Going home, I set my GPS on "no highways" which gave me a beautiful scenic drive through the mountains and pastures and past historic Prater's Mill. I will be back, and have recommended this to all my friends. Next time, I hope it rains a little so I can hear that sound on the cabin's tin roof. Thank you, Ricky and Carol, for the getaway I needed!
