I am an experienced tent camper but chose this Tentrr because it was more convenient for a one night stay. I was expecting some Tentrr signage at the shelter parking but there is none. You’ll be leaving your vehicle in a fairly remote area overnight. The hike to the site if you take the road and campground loop road is probably 0.7 miles as indicated in the description. You can shortcut through Group 1 camping and also follow a path that is marked with a restroom sign that will make the hike to the Tentrr trail shorter but it is rugged and not suitable for pulling a wagon. The trail to Site I isn’t that worn but can be followed by using ribbon tree markers in daylight or the reflective Tentrr markers at night. Otherwise you’d probably lose the trail. There are small trees down that you’d have to lift a wagon over. Be aware that only sites H and I are on this trail and are very remote compared to a traditional campground. No ranger will be driving by! You pass H going to I but one can not be seen from the other. Overall I really liked it and the bed is glamp-like. Inside the tent was pretty clean considering there is no power. The tent is not locked even though you are sent a code so valuables shouldn’t be left inside. I didn’t carry any firewood or much water but that should be considered regarding the hike in. UPDATE: In reviewing all the emails I discovered that there were two different descriptions where to park in the email. I read and used the first which indicated parking at Shelter 3. In the same email it describes parking by campground site 16. That would start the hike at the actual path to the tent and be much shorter. I also uploaded videos of site I but they didn’t come through with the review. Site I actual videos: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-2lNI8ecwXkEbY1VPm_23T7XY7anvuD0

This host seems extremely hands off. From the beginning, the instructions were hard to follow and somewhat unclear. Contacting Tentrr for assistance was easy enough and the rep was kind but not knowledgeable enough to help, as they even stated they were from Florida and knew nothing of the area. She basically just nicely reread me the instructions that we were currently looking at. She then reached out to the host for help, who gave her incorrect information to relay to us. The tent itself was stained and had cobwebs inside. The carpeting in the tent seems to be permanently wet. It was clearly not maintained. To our surprise, the toilet was inside the corner of the tent, much like an outdoor jail cell. We had also planned on using the provided picnic table, until we noticed that the “human waste” bin was attached to said table. We made the most out of what we were given but needless to say, we will not return.

Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've replaced our host at Coopers Rock. Our new representative there is super hands-on, and is using all of the information our guests have provided to ensure that none of these issues occur again in the future. Again, we apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope to see you out camping with us again soon! Cheers! The Tentrr Team

Too pricy for what you get. There were insects in the tent, in fact a bug crawled in my ear overnight. They mentioned about solar showers but it was nowhere to find, not a drop of water. Wouldn’t recommend!

First, our camp host Zach was great. He met us coming in late and escorted us to the site, which would have been near impossible to find on our own. The walk-in from parking is not bad, about 5 minutes, and mostly flat. He was super helpful and friendly. The tent and campsite were disappointing. It had been raining a lot, and there was a carpet inside the tent. Unfortunately it had not been set up such that the carpet would not get wet, and it had wicked so much water in that the entire floor was wet all weekend long. There was nowhere we could put our stuff without it getting wet. The bed was firm but also wet, and dirty. There was no other furniture inside the tent (no nightstands or side tables or anything). The grill on our firepit was broken, but it would have been too wet to get a fire going so it didn't matter much. There was an outdoor cabinet to keep food in, but something was rotting inside it. There is an outdoor bucket-seat toilet, but also there are running water toilets about 5-7 minutes walk from the site. The tent had many wolf spiders and large crickets, and a mouse visited us each night and got into our food, despite some precautions to pack it away. But, it was really nice not to have to set up or break down camp in the rain. And our weekend activities did not involve being at the campsite much anyway. However, if we were looking for some kind of romantic getaway in the woods? This is decidedly not that. Apart from the disappointing campsite, the park itself is beautiful and there's an abundance of great climbing and hiking here. We will likely return again to Coopers Rock for this reason, but I would hesitate to book another one of these sites at the current prices they are charging for them.

Hello, thank you for your feedback on the site. We've taken everything into account, and have gotten things fixed to be of higher quality to our guests. I'm also glad to hear our host was quite helpful during your stay. I apologize for all the mishaps present at the site at the time. Positive and negative feedback is always welcome to help us better our sites. Unfortunately, pricing is like a hotel and varies depending on the days and times of the year. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to reach out to me at hbowen@tentrr.com Thank you for your time Hunter
