Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Beautiful tent tucked up a hill from the owners house. This canvas dwelling is perfect for one or two people looking to disconnect from the outside world. WiFi is offered in the driveway for gps usage, however the tent is enough of the grid to completely detach. Top feature is the proximity to the Panther Mountain trail head. This rim trail boosts views that rival a Bob Ross painting and the 1.8 mile hike to to ledge is well worth the price of admission. 10/10 would stay again maybe in the summer next time.”
“This is a great stay if you want a taste of camping without the inconveniences of pitching a tent and clearing space to occupy! Convenient to several small towns to explore or a great space to relax in the woods. The hosts were very helpful and answered any questions we had.”
“Tom, the site owner, was very nice and helpful. But our camping experience was horrible. The distance from the car parking area up to the campsite was much further than explained - not to mention it was up a steep hill. With a fake hip, this was not an ideal site. Tom was, however, nice to help carry some items. Unfortunately, The first night we were there the temperature dropped to 45 degrees and there were heavy lighting and thunderstorms and flooding rain all night. The tent leaked and there was no dry firewood to make a fire. This was the biggest mistake. Tom did not think we would need the wood burning furnace. So we were left with no wood or even direction on how to use the furnace if we had. Ultimately We were frozen - originally expecting summer weather. Fortunately we had layers of clothes and an extra blanket. We were also feeling a bit scared by the pack of coyotes howling nearby for about an hour. The next morning all of the grounds were saturated so our plans to sit out and enjoy the deck and do some birdwatching were dashed. Additionally, the food storage containers were full of insects. The local bears may not have been able to access the food, but the bugs sure did. So we were forced to keep food with us in our tent which we knew was not a good idea. Granted, we are not experienced campers. But we had higher expectations for this weekend and Tentrr as a means to learn and get our feet wet with camping. We didn’t mean literally. Ultimately we left one day early for a local hotel and made the best out of the weekend in warm dryer accommodations. While Tentrr may be suitable for some people and the Birdwatcher site might be nice in better weather, we will not be doing Tentrr again.”
“Awesome weekend thanks to Tom. This was our first time using Tentrr and it couldn’t have been better. Tom was easy to communicate with leading up to our trip, there on arrival, helped us bring our bags to the site, gave us all the information we needed plus recommendations for the area. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return in the spring!”
“Our stay at Birdwatcher was Great! The campsite location was beautiful. We arrived late at night but Tom was nice enough to guide us on a short 5 minute hike to the tent. When we arrived to the tent it was stock with all the essentials you need for a great camping experience. Even when we had a small accident and I burned my hand, Tom was was really helpful by looking up treatment options and giving us directions to the nearest Urgent care locations. The campsite looked exactly like the pictures but better in person. This site is perfect for people who want to reconnect with nature even if you are a beginner camper. Definitely would recommend.”
