“This campsite was PERFECT. There was no detail left undone, Desmond met us at our car and drove us down to the campsite which is on a crystal clear, beautiful river. There were so many touches that made staying here so enjoyable - the private camp toilet, beautiful fire pit, water source, lawn games, and no mosquitos! We will be back again!”
“This is a great camp site! Des was really easy to communicate with and demonstrated a genuine commitment to a great experience. I spent the night with my 4-year old, and it was great to have all of the amenities provided. The bald eagle made was beautiful, and there was an epic firefly display at night. It was great to spend the night with the sound of the river and the warmth of the fire. I highly recommend the Neversink Sanctuary!”
“We had a fabulous time at Neversink Sanctuary! My 8-year-old son, his best friend, his friend's mom and I all spent the weekend there. The owner, Desmond, welcomed us with a bright smile, and helped us unload the car and bring all of our stuff to the campsite by the river. Whether you're a hardcore camper or, like me, one who prefers some "convenience", you'll find it there. We were able to quickly cook lunch for the two hungry boys thanks to the propane BBQ at our disposal. Then it was a beautiful afternoon playing with our inflatable boat in the river, while watching bald eagles flying above and a family of ducks swimming nearby. The water is cold but super clear. After a quick rinse (water available from a garden hose), we started building a fire in the firepit and were able to grill all of our dinner over the fire watching the sunset. The weather cooperated with us until we finished roasting marshmallows, and cleaned up. Then it rained pretty hard, which made us appreciate even more having a roof over the toilet, and a sturdy, waterproof tent over our heads! In the morning, the kids went on a short hike looking for snails, while we prepared breakfast. Desmond was ready to help us bring all of our belongings back to the car when we were done (and the rain started again). Despite the weather, we absolutely loved our weekend at Neversink Sanctuary, and would love to go back!”
“Desmond and Tracey were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make our first Tentrr experience perfect!! When we arrived, they greeted us and helped us bring our belongings down to the private campsite. They gave us a tour and made sure we knew exactly where everything was and how everything works. The site is completely surrounded by the woods and on a riverfront. Very quiet and peaceful! Our favorite part was relaxing by the big beautiful fire pit. There is a hammock right next to the water that I spent hours on, reading and relaxing. The outhouse is completely clean and spotless which made it very comfortable and easy to use. We brought our dog, who enjoyed running around the land. The landscape was very well taken care of and lined with solar lights which at night made it a homey atmosphere. We wish we spent more time here, but will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Desmond and Tracey!”
“Beautiful spot down by the river within an easy drive of NYC. Owner Des has set up something special with built in firepit, enclosed loo with potable water, wood shed for dry firewood, plenty of places to wander and check out the river. Despite the main house being fairly close it's completely immersed in nature. Thanks to Des for building such a great site and going out of his way to ensure we had a great time as his first campers.”
