The host was extremely pleasant to deal with and helpful as well, giving a list of places to go and things to do while staying at the site. He also provided detailed instructions for the check-in/out procedures with quick responses to any questions I had. I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a relaxing time with incredible mountain views for a great price.”
“We stopped here on our way from Atlanta to DC. We enjoyed a place to stretch our legs and the kids got to run around on our long trip. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was beautiful and cozy. Host was helpful with local tips. We also bought some firewood and rented some bedding. It was easy and peaceful and we loved it. Highly recommend”
“Campsite was so incredibly quiet and peaceful. We stayed 2 nights (Friday through Sunday) and didn't want to leave at all. Site is equipped with fire ring, table and prep station for cooking on the fire, raised bed with memory foam mattress, compost toilet and 2 cans of bear spray. Sunset hill didn't disappoint at ALL...we were blessed with an incredible sunset and a paraglider on Saturday evening (super cool)!!! The provided tent did really well with not getting a ton of condensation so we were happy to not wake up wet either morning! This site was on 100 acres of pure freedom and plenty of wildlife (checkout sunset hill at dawn and I guarantee you'llsee grazing deer). Host lives on the property which made us feel better in case a bear incident came about. Firewood for sale and cell reception on site in case of emergencies or just to wind down and watch a movie. WE WILL BE BACK! God bless these wonderful people for sharing their mountain top with all of us.”
“If you’re looking for a remote getaway full of relaxation in a beautiful setting, this is the place for you! The property was exactly as advertised and remote enough to feel in the middle of nowhere but close enough to attractions and town to be convenient. The road on the way in was well maintained and the property is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures don’t do it justice. Mr. Fetterolf provided clear and easy check in instructions and met us at check in. I highly recommend staying at Bland Mountain Retreat and we can’t wait to return!”
