“This was a great camping spot and perfect for those looking for a mix of primitive camping and glamping. For those who may make the same mistake we did, this campground is not in the park. You have to drive in and out of the park to get to the campsite. This may not be an issue for some but was not what we were looking for as we chose this camping spot in order to fish. The camping toilet is also open on one side, which may be a problem for some who are not used to this kind of arrangement. The site is secluded, as stated, and quiet so you don't have to worry about anyone seeing or hearing you. We just thought it was secluded in Maramec Spring Park and it is not, though it is very close and only takes a couple minutes to get back and forth. The campsite was clean and the tent and bed seem great though we didn't actually stay the night and went back to our house instead. We thought the Adirondack chairs were a great addition. An excellent stay I'm sure for those who know what they are getting!”
“The tent and the location are great!! Very peaceful and secluded- except for the occasional loud truck on the road. It’s important to note that this your typical ‘glamping’ experience you would expect from Airbnb - no beddings or blankets, pick up your own bio bags and trash in the campgrounds. The propane tank was empty - so we had no heat as well. Regardless, the tent and site are really amazing. Just need to be more prepared for what to expect!”
“Wow! Where to begin- Lovely little spot nestled into a woodsy hillside, felt very private surrounded by trees. The tentrr accessories were just a plus to this magical campsite owned by Meramec springs (the trout fishery) which is onsite but kept separate from their regular campgrounds so no worries about seeing/hearing others. The campfire pit has a grate over it so you can cook over the fire! We made chili and it was perfect for the cold weather, the tent was on a raised platform and came with a propane heater w/ tank of propane! Kept us warm in the night !! We can’t wait to come back and book again this summer when it’s warmer. The tent has an option to open the front flaps but zip up screen flaps so you could get a nice open breeze without worrying about bugs and such. The bed was covered in a liner and very comfy, we just laid our sleeping bags over it and it was perfect. We left the place with good vibes after a fun weekend with friends and family ❤️ thanks to the host!”
