We spent six nights at Animal Land and it was magical! This is truly a special place away from it all, and our camp host Ken was simply wonderful. Each day we would walk from our tent/camp area down to the river (3-5 min walk) and swim, kayak or paddleboard, fish and generally hang out in the river! Lots of animal sightings including a bald eagle and youth (wow!) and much to our 7 year olds' delight, a friendly fox who would visit in the evenings. We came home relaxed and having felt like we truly stepped out of wilderness but without having to rough it too much! I highly highly recommend!!

What can we say? This place is so fabulous. Ken our host is wonderful and so knowledgeable about the area. We saw bear and bald eagles! The fly fishing is excellent. We set up at the main enormous camp area and a spot just a short walk to a sandy beach spot. The camp is super clean and secluded. We will be headed back in just a few weeks. Yay! Thanks Ken! See you soon.

This place was awesome! The campsite was really nice and Ken was a great host. We spent a day on the Klamath River and spent three days on the Salmon River, and it was wonderful! I will stay here again!

So much to offer! Was great as a retreat just for 2, but would be excellent to have a large group here, plenty of space and all sorts of nice to haves for a more comfortable camping experience. Ken was great and very responsive, if you have any questions or concerns he can certainly help you out. Would have loved to stay longer just to see more amazing wildlife! Got to see a young bear scramble up the rocks across the river and multiple sightings of bald eagles!

My husband and I visited Animal Land this past weekend and we had an incredible time. The camp area was clean, private and all the amenities (hot/cold water, stove, etc) were in perfect working order. Late afternoons we were greeted my a pair of bald eagles across the river and at night there were more stars than the eyes could see. Ken was a gracious host. There is a small store down the road with ice/basics, but you would hardly know there were any people for miles. Plenty of good swimming & hiking. I would highly recommend for groups of friends, families or couples. We will definitely be back - hopefully this year!

GORGEOUS spot, right there on the river with towering trees beyond. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) had a fantastic time on Ken's property. We swam in the river--just a short amble to the shore--and watched bald eagles perch in the trees. The kids caught tadpoles and skipped rocks. Our meals were perfect--Ken provides a dual-burner propane stove and running water--and we enjoyed toasted marshmallows every night. Ken lives close by but you'd never know it because the campsite is completely private. SUCH a fun time! We'll be back soon for a river rafting trip (Ken is a former rafting guide!) Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at Animal Land. Ken was a gracious host and the campsite and surrounding area couldn't have been a better get away. The river is a short walk from the campsite...with private access and a bald eagle fishing near by. The site features a fully functioning kitchen with hot and cold running water.
