“Very nicely situated campsite on a hilltop but, like the other reviews noted, the hike up the hill from the designated parking area to the actual tent is not ideal (1/2 mile up two vertical inclines - would be ideal if parking was, at least, relocated to the top of the first incline).
Pleasant once at the top, with the campsite outfitted with firewood, tongs, fire pit grill, paper towels, TP, water, etc.
Tent may also need some repair as there were two holes on one of the window screens.”
“View is as beautiful as advertised, and the drive up was amazing. Everyone nearby was incredibly friendly as well. Only drawback is the distant parking (a small hike, but all uphill and a bit of a drag with all your things), but the location and site were great.”
“Absolutely incredible views. Totally quiet and peaceful. Very, Very private. Close to some great hiking and little towns.
No shade, as it's in a clearing at the top of a hill. Also, You're supposed to park quite a ways down the hill and carry everything uphill. If you have heavy coolers, wood, gear etc... good luck. Prepare to huff and puff.”
“the camp site is great and set in a beautiful hilltop meadow. However, access to the site is terrible. the owner stressed that we had to park at the designated parking spot 1/2 mile from the site. What she didnt mention was that the 1/2 mile was straight up hill. Lugging all of our gear (along with 4 young kids) up a steep hill really sucked. Once we got set up, we were able to relax and enjoy.”
“The site was beautiful, so picturesque and majestic. We especially loved that the tent was set in a wide clearing so that we had an unobstructed landscape view and a couple of starry nights. The tent was clean, well insulated from insects and suitable for a solid night’s rest.”
