“My six year old and I stayed in November as the property sounded amazing and we wanted to see if the Winter Ready would allow us to extend our current camping season. The wood stove was going when we arrived and the smoke coming from our tent very welcoming. We got dinner made before it got too dark. Less daylight being an issue as it gets later in the season. The wood stove unfortunately is better for ambiance than heat and even stoked beyond written recommendations, allowed water to freeze in a glass on the nightstand. I was not able to get the propane heater going but we stayed warm enough under the layers of down that we had brought. The temperature became a bigger issue the next morning when the multiple lighters and butane for the stove were all colder than would allow them to work properly. Breakfast took several hours to cook but we were able to find Beau mid morning and he lit the propane heater which kept the tent toasty for the rest of our stay. And perhaps as importantly allowed us to have a warm place that we could keep exchanging the butane and lighters out so meals could be prepared in a timely fashion. The property is very beautiful and park like but so are many other Tentrr properties so not worth the premium we paid. Also the Falls were a draw for the other guests on property so the campsite not as private as I am used to Tentrr sites being.”
“We had a wonderful time at Beaverdam Falls. The “top of the rock” site was a great site with an amazing setting. Can’t wait to return when the weather warms up and enjoy the water. Beau, the owner, was very accommodating and welcoming. A lot of unique surprises to explore on the property. Well worth the stay, looking forward to making it back.”
“The area was very beautiful! The tent was simple and it was very nice to fall asleep with the sound of the waterfall in the background. I think it is worth noting that you’ll be doing your business outside or even inside the tent if you are visiting during the winter time.”
“Such an amazing stay. We had perfect weather in mid-November. And there were thousands of ladybugs that greeted us ! Definitely recommend the cold water submersion in the waterfall pools... we want to come back in the summer! At night it got into the 40s but the wood burning heater kept us cozy.”
“One of the most incredible properties ever! The Top of the Rock was a truly unique experience. The white noise from the falls and the abundant heating options made it very comfortable even on a cold rainy night. I will definitely be back and have raving about it to everyone I talk to.”
