Campkeeper, Robert DeSimone, was helpful leading up to our stay, providing info and guidance via email ahead of our arrival. He was, unfortunately, not available whilst we were on the property since he was out of State on vacation. This was a little frustrating since we had difficulty finding the solar shower and struggled to reach him. The mattress looked like it had been left out for some time since it had mold on it. It was also not the most comfortable due to a slow leak. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

This was my first experience using Tentrr. Whispering Pines’ views do not upset!!! The lot was well maintained although the water was a it tricky to find. It rained hard for two of the nights we were there. The tent held up well and kept us dry. Robert provided us with some suggestions for hiking, food, firewood, etc. which was very helpful. I would recommend this site to others!

Fantastic site. Well maintained with beautiful views, and Robert was very helpful. Recommend hiking at the Trout Pond and swimming at the Beaverkill Covered Bridge. Robert's recommendation for the bakery in Livingston Manor (Brandenburg) was fantastic!

Beautiful, quiet campsite! Robert was very communicative and gave us some wonderful suggestions about the area. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there but the wood stove in the tent kept us cozy and we look forward to returning!

Tenttr was the one of the best camping experiences I've had as an avid camper. The site was clean, equipped and ready to use. The site was secluded but not isolated. Access to the site was easy, just drive carefully if you have a small car, there is lots of uneven ground on the site. The tent was spacious and equipped with a wood burning stove for cold nights. The toilet is located inside the tent which was strange at first but makes sense later when it's dark and cold. There was bug spray, candles, and toilet paper ready. The bed was a queen size air mattress and there's a air pump in the tent. Just make sure that you read the instructions in the mattress before trying to fill it. Bring lanterns for the cabin and outside. There's a fire pit outside the tent for keeping warm as well as a pit onsite for cooking. Overall the experience was a good one. The only thing missing was a clear sign for the water supply. I tried to contact the CampKeeper via the Tentrr site but received no response. We found that there's fresh water supply a few meters off the driveway into the site to the left. Just listen for the running water. A plus was if you needed firewood or additional fire wood there is a sign for a local person and his phone number posted at the site to call. We contacted him the day prior to arrival and he had it delivered to the site for $5/bundle payable in cash only. One of the downfalls was not having services for trash collection. It was very difficult to keep full and smelly garbage in the trunk of my car each night. Despite this and not being able to meet the CampKeeper, I can't wait to come back again hopefully next year.

Had a really great trip to Whispering Pines. My first time camping in nearly a decade and the site was beautiful. The tent was really nice and the blow up mattress on the hot was comfortable. We just took up our own linen and it worked well. The toilet is a bit confronting at first but we did our best. The location is so close to the Prohibition Distillery, where we had lunch and listened to live music. We took a 3 hour hike in neighboring Livingston Manor which was awesome. There was a crazy thunderstorm on the Friday night but the tent held up really well, only a little water got in at the bottom, but not much considering the down pour we had! The fire was really easy to use. Only thing I would ask is that they implement a pully system for the outdoor shower, as putting that on a tree when filled with water was extremely hard, also would be good if the power worked on the power line, was plugs but both didn't work. Would highly recommend and would do again! Thanks Robert! Megan
