Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Beautiful site along Lake Huron, wonderful access to the beach, just not sure who decided to put these 30-50 feet from a major road. Noisy, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t enjoy nature with the constant sounds of traffic. For the amount of money it costs, that should be shared in the description.”
“Nice tent and comfy mattress with beautiful views of Lake Huron and a semi-private beach (an extension of the public beach but no one is down there) It poured for the last day that we camped here, but we stayed perfectly dry. 2 perfect trees above the water for hammocking. However, this site is deep in the woods so make sure to bring lots of bug spray.”
“This was our first time camping with our 4yo and this was an incredibly fun and exciting experience. The tentrr campsite was so easy to use and everything was already set up for up. The proximity to the lake was a dream!”
“It was a lovely spot to camp and I would give it 5 stars if not for 2 basic amenities that were absent: 1) no accesible bathrooms. I had to walk across the street to use campground bathrooms there. It was a 15 minute walk. Bathrooms at public beach were locked and not functioning. Vault toilet that was .5 miles from campsite had defecation everyone and not functionally usable. 2.) no running water - closer water spigot was at the entrance to the beach…honestly, I don’t mind rustic camping, but the 15 minute walk to the bathroom was a bit much. We brought a jug of water with us…but it was also quite a walk to get more….for the cost of the tentrr….I feel like some of the basics (like bathrooms) should be accounted for. Lovely view, nice tent…but I will be more careful about making reservations in tentrr due to the lack of basic amenities”
Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your honest feedback. The site description for our State Parks are all up to date and include a list of all amenities provided at the campsite. The description also highlights that there is no running water at any of our campsites in this state park and that the bathrooms are located at the parks restroom facilities where you can access toilets and running water.
Best,
The Tentrr Team
“Tent was nice and the view is beautiful. Be prepared for a long walk to the campsite. Half the path is sand. The cart was not there for us to move our things in.
It’s very secluded. No noise from other campers but it is very close to the road so there is a lot of road noise.”
