The site was absolutely beautiful! Perfect for a weekend of relaxing. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!

My friends and I booked this campsite hoping for a weekend that wasn't as restrictive as hike-your-stuff-in camping but no where near as posh as glamping. We ended up having an AMAZING time at Schoharie Creek! Max was beyond friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed without being intrusive in the slightest. The campsite was picturesque, with Narnia-esque woods surrounding a little clearing that provided a perfect spot to stargaze at night. The creek was cold, clear, and refreshing on sunny days. There were tubes provided, but my friends and I tended to just plunge in instead. The site did have some pots/pans, trash bags, cutting board, and other such basics, but we didn't really use them as we brought our own. In regards to ticks, my friends and I were shocked how few we encountered throughout the weekend. Keep in mind that if you're camping ANYWHERE in the Northeast this summer, ticks are going to be numerous and something to watch out for, but during our whole stay at the camp and despite our romps in the meadows and forest, we only found a handful. The whole property was beautiful and easy to walk/run around in, which we certainly took advantage of with our canine friend. Oh, and there are also tons of wild blueberries in the meadow, which was a delicious treat. I would absolutely come back to Schoharie Creek and have already recommended it to many of my coworkers.

Schoharie Creek was the the perfect site for our July camping trip, with the creek just footsteps from our tents. Beautiful scenery around the site and several trails and swimming holes nearby to explore. It was an excellent weekend in the woods and we look forward to returning next year.

Great, beautiful and private location! Deer and wild turkeys with babies came to visit. Creek down slope behind tent with overlooking hammock. Site set up was exactly as described. The only reason we can't give 5 stars is the tick problem as reported by previous visitors. Though no fault of TentRR, people should be aware of the extent of the problem. It is a bad tick year in general, but we had to remove 50+ ticks (no exaggeration!) from our dog upon our return, not to mention the ones we dealt with while camping. If you can deal with that, it is a great spot..... we would definitely return, just not this year.

I am so thankful I checked the reviews the day before for the last time, as the previous reviewer gave a heads up about the crazy amount of ticks. The tent provided by Tentrr was filled with spiders and several ticks (plus atleast 20 small flying bugs), one on the air mattress as we got there. The pop-up tent from Tentrr had a broken piece, but we still managed to get it up. I lent out 2 of my own tents to friends with us, and I wish I hadn't because I would have much rather slept in there than the elevated Tentrr tent. The wood slats are very open and there is long grass under it where you can just watch bugs & ticks climb up through. We had to lay down a tarp inside to limit the amount of insects. The actual site was beautiful (not counting the ticks) BUT the creek was a huge letdown! There were fallen trees at both entrances that completely limited use of the creek. We got in as far & deep as we could before the fallen trees, and it was amazing, but that was only like a 5'x10' area. I wish we'd known the creek's limitations as the main reason we booked this was for the creek and previous reviews talking about floating in tubes in the creek. There weren't any tubes provided (which is up to the campkeeper, but previous reviewers raved about it). And there were other items that were supposed to be provided and were missing, like lanterns, set of camp plates, knives & forks. We also avoided the provided hammock because of the ticks. 7 out of 10 people got ticks, all from just stepping into the long grass for a few minutes - which is everywhere besides exactly where tents are. Overall, we had an amazing time. We were prepared for the crazy amount of ticks and despite's the hiccups, it was still so much fun. But I don't think I'd go back unless I knew the ticks were under control, creek was cleared of fallen trees so it could be used, and I'd bring my own tent to use. I had much higher expectations for using Tentrr.

Campsight and surroundings were beautiful, but left a full day early because of the amount of ticks everywhere. Literally had to check every hour and there was a minimum of 2 on us. Only after speaking with some locals, we found out it's the worst it's been in many years. Not sure there was anything we could do but a heads up would have been nice.

Nice secluded campsite with a swimmable creek and hammock. Really enjoyed foraging for ramps with campkeeper Max who grew up in the area and is very knowledgeable about the outdoors. The campsite is close (5 min drive) to Tannersville, highly recommend the buckwheat pancakes at Maggie's Krooked Cafe.

Max, the CampKeeper is friendly & helpful. Short drive from Nyc. Clean & quiet, nice way to relax from citylife & stress. Overall, awesome experience. And, will plan to comeback.
