“We spent a fabulous two days (one night) at the R2 Tentrr site over Halloween. The host, Sarah, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We arrived earlier than expected and she happily gave us recommendations for activities nearby - visiting the Woodstock historical site is a must! When we got to the campsite, Sarah had set up welcome baskets for us with all the supplies we could possibly need and even a S'mores kit. The site was all decked out with Halloween decorations which made for a festive and cozy holiday weekend. Even though it was drizzling, we had the option to add a canopy tent over the deck, which made it possible for us to stay outside nearly the whole time. We were even able to keep the fire going and cook dinner directly over the flames.
The tents were very clean and each was equipped with a Queen-sized bunk bed with very comfortable mattresses. It did get a little chilly because we slept instead of tending to our wood stove, so I would recommend bringing extra blankets and warm clothes if you visit during a cold time of year.
The view of the pond from the deck is gorgeous and we even walked around the property a little bit, which was nice to explore. All in all it was a wonderful getaway weekend from the city that allowed us to unplug from our everyday lives - would highly recommend and will certainly be returning!”
“I don’t know if I can keep this short lol. When I say this is the nicest campsite ever I mean it’s almost hard to call it a campsite it’s so nice. To begin, the entire deck is R2-D2 so boom I could prob stop there, but even without the theme & paint this is one hell of a deck for just a couple of tents. Most homeowners will be envious let’s just put it that way. Then there’s the view of Bishops Pond (I’ll post my iPhone 11 pics) which takes on multiple personalities from sunrise to sunset. Hawks, eagles, owls, woodpeckers, turkeys, deer, beaver, bass, & foxes… basically every direction you look there’s a different animal. The surrounding property is DEFINITELY worth exploring/hiking so bring boots! The fire pit grill stayed lit all 3 nights and the wood stoves inside the tents were AWESOME. Speaking of inside the tent… wait for it… queen size bunk beds with STUPID COMFY memory foam mattresses. I’ve NEVER in my entire life woken up in a tent bed I didn’t want to get out of until now. Seriously insane how great it was. I could live there.
Then there’s Sarah, the property manager…
Imagine cloning your mom & 10 best friends into 1 person and that’s Sarah. She set the whole place up in a way that can only be described as CUTE AF. Little electric candles and a pine cone wreath that she clearly made herself AND EVERYTHING you’d find at home like TP & paper towels, a deck of cards, coolers, a powered battery next to each bed that charged our phones & iPads for 3 days, bedside fans, led lights, a hanging shower… I just couldn’t believe it really. She even brought us extra fire wood one night just cuz she didn’t want us to be close to running out! To say she goes above & beyond isn’t even close to a proper compliment. We love Sarah!
Last but not least, 2 outhouses y’all.
The cleanest EVER. Nuff said.
I was shocked by how much effort has been put into this place and I know they’re adding a ton of amenities over the coming year, so it’s getting more awesome which is hard to even imagine.
Would I go back? Honestly, I could go off grid there. I hated leaving and can’t wait to escape LA & return as soon as I can.
I stayed there with just one buddy of mine so I had one of the 2 tents to myself, but you could EASILY sleep 4 without sharing a bed or have up to 8+ if you wanna pile up in both bunks.”

Let's talk about the platform... This Behemoth on the lake is a hand-built work of art in the shape of the robot that has been hand-painted to perfection! Both tents had queen size bunk beds that were great for our family. The tents were clean and had all the standard Tentrr kit, plus some additional flare to match the theme. The fire pit is situated on a fireproof matt on the front of the platform. From the seating area, the views of the lake and the surrounding foliage are stunning! Sitting there we were wowed at the majestic sight of two bald eagles swooping over the lake in search of a meal.
The property is beautiful and a nature lover's wonderland. Though a little murky, the lake is teaming with life. Our daughter caught a fish from the shore right in front of the platform! The kids loved exploring the woods on the property, they are full of little streams and waterfalls. Wildlife in this patch of the woods is abundant... We saw deer, woodchuck, turtles, frogs, snakes and even bright orange salamanders!
The camp keeper was super friendly and attentive! She greeted and guided us to the site. And she even set us up with a solar generator to use while we were staying to power all of our gadgets.
Camping on R2 was an experience our entire family will cherish! We are super excited to come back and experience all the features at this new and evolving campground!”
