The brand new Oztrail 6 Person Fast Frame Blockout Tent features the fastest system for pitching allowing a setup in minutes. With a single room footprint it offers enough space for couples or smaller families on shorter trips. There is a large front easy step door with an awning for additional shade. The town hub frame gives maximum horizontal headroom. The Tent also features no-see-um mesh panels throughout for insect protection. The tent also comes with an oversized and easy to stuff carry bag. There is a blockout coating on the fly to block light and reduce heat in summer. Great for when you want to sleep in. **Please keep in mind that the black coating on the inside of the block-out fly can flake away with use, causing pinpricks of light to appear. This is especially the case around the seams. This is perfectly normal and does not affect the product's ability to reduce light or temperature and can be fixed using black tenacious tape or something similar if you aren't a fan of the starry night effect.**

Took the tent for its first outing last week. On the first night we had a massive wind come through that destroyed gazibos and upended a lot of things. The tent shook a bit but otherwise held up perfectly. Also kept every drop of the rain out. Can be setup by one person in probably 10 minutes. The blackout works well, just make sure you've got a light to see inside, even in the daytime.

Will take a bit of practice but I love how easy it is, and how roomy inside. Seems to be good quality too,

I bought this to replace a fairly basic car-camping tent, which was getting a bit old and tatty. My requirements were: - Plenty of space to stand up inside, and to move around / store gear around a queen-size lilo; - A good-sized vestibule, with options to enter both through the vestibule and through the other side; - Easy and quick to set up - no messing around trying to thread poles through sleeves etc. This tent scores well on all points. I particularly love the quick-pitch design, and the blackout coating on the fly is a nice bonus. Beware that this means you will need some good lighting for inside the tent - I purchased the TentWorld combined light/fan unit to hang inside, and also the OzTrail LED strip lights to have a play with. The tent is definitely very solid and high quality construction, but bear in mind this makes it a bit heavier and bulkier than more basic options. Check the specs for exact weight and size. It is still easy enough to throw in the back of the car, carry around, etc. Apart from the light/fan combo, I also bought some small tarps and screw-in tent pegs from Bunnings to complete my setup. (The tent doesn't come with a "floor" for the vestibule.) I am happy to recommend this tent for people who want something spacious and solid to spend a few nights in, but still want something that is quick and easy to pitch/collapse and throw in the boot of the car. As with all new tents, best to try pitching it in the backyard or local park before you take it away on a proper trip, so you can familiarise yourself with the setup. There are still a couple of short thread-through poles to support the vestibules, and it's worth making sure you know where these go.
