Outstanding fridge. Low power consumption and keeps my stuff really cold. I just set the dial to 3.5/5. A few only downside I just want point out a few negative points for Engel. The compressor is slightly noisier than the mtv45 I own for 2 years especially when it’s kicking the compressor unit vibrate a lot. Secondly, it’s a real shame the unit doesn’t come with an interior light as my mtv45 did. And lastly I don’t know how the thermostat works but old Engels used to kick all the time for a certain period of time and that was no good instead of running and stop when the temp has been reached and kick back then the temp has dropped a few degree. I feel like this one does the same. My mtv45 only kick when needed not at same interval and that was great and even if the compressor is slightly noisy, helps to get a better sleep inside the cab than a compressor running every 3 min for a couple mins. Also, the rails where the food sits should be sit together not loose so nothing will bounce when driving on rough terrain and I wish they would provide some plastic shelves for every compartment. Last point: it feels like some cold air is escaping from the corner opposite to the door lock as there’s nothing to hold it right but the magnet from the seal. I think this is a real matter and need to be considered but doesn’t affect the fridge or power consumption; it might get the compression to kick a little more often. Other than that I’m still very happy with that fridge.
